Who is “Melchizedek” to whom Abraham tithed? Pre-incarnate “Christ”! Not so fast...

______________________

When dealing with the topic of Melchizedek, we all have been taught that the “Melchizedek” mentioned in the 14th Chapter of the Book of Genesis was a “pre-incarnate Jesus”. We are taught that Melchizedek was the actual name of the King of Salem. This is yet another in a long list of false doctrines of The Christian Church. I want to fully explain who the King of Salem was and put this "myth" to rest.

We (being mis-taught in Christianity) fail to realize “Melchizedek” is not a name but a title meaning "Ruling Righteous Priest" or "Priest/King" in Hebrew. Abraham recognized the King of Salem (Salem was the city JeruSALEM was founded upon) as a Righteous King who was also a priest. Righteous Priest/King in Hebrew is מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶֿק malkī-ṣeḏeq. In English it is Melchi-zedek. Abraham was not calling the King of Salem by his proper name; he was showing respect to this King by giving him the title Melchizedek as he was the first “Priest/King" of (what would become) Jerusalem. A title that foreshadowed the coming Messiah as we learned in Chapter 1. This King of Salem was neither named Melchizedek nor was he a pre-incarnate "Jesus".

So before we continue exploring Yahusha’s role as The Righteous Priest/King or as the title progressed with the House of Zadok… The Ruling Zadok (Melchizedek) let me first say a few words about the possibility of Yahusha pre-existing in the man Abraham tithed to (gave a tenth of the spoils of war because the King of Salem did not enter the battle). We need to get the false doctrine that the King of Salem was "Jesus" incarnate out of our minds so that we can truly understand the meaning of Melchizedek.

This is really not that difficult as Yahusha's “beginning” is clearly defined in scripture not as "pre-existing" his birth to Miriam; but rather it was from his human birth to Miriam and Yahseph that Yahusha was "cast" upon YHVH and had his beginning and strength:

Psalm 22:9-10
9 But you took Me from My mother's womb, Yahuah! You made Me trust in You, even from My mother's breast. 10 I was cast upon You from My birth; from My mother's womb, You are My Strength.

If that is not clear enough, let us look into the Hebrew for more meaning. Below is the word-for-word Hebrew translation of Psalm 22:9-10, from The NIV Interlinear Hebrew-English Old Testament. This shows the word "from" in these Scriptures is Hebrew “mem” circled below:

The Dictionary of Old Testament Words for English Readers, says that the Hebrew letter, mem, which has been circled above, is "prefixed to a substantive", which "denotes the preposition". What does all that mean? Let us take a look.

The Hebraic Tongue Restored, by Fabre d'Olivet, tells us what these prepositions mean when the Hebrew letter mem is prefixed as is in Psalms 22:9-10 above. Mem, in this situation, means "from, out of, by means of":

EXTRACTIVE OR PARTITIVE ARTICLE. __ The movement which this article expresses, with nouns or actions that it modifies, is that by which a noun or an action is taken for the means, for the instrument, by which they are divided in their essence, or drawn from the midst of several other nouns or similar actions. I render it ordinarily by from, out of, by; with, by means of, among, between, etc.

The New World Dictionary of the American Language, Second College Edition, gives a complete definition of the word mem which was translated in English as "from" as beginning at, starting with, out of.

The word translated "from" in Psalm 22:10, means beginning at, starting with. Yahusha is prophetically pictured through King David to say that Yahuah was his strength from the beginning, starting with the point Yahusha the Messiah was conceived in His mother's womb. Yahuah was Yahusha's strength only beginning from the point of his human birth to his mother Miriam. That rules out "pre-existence" entirely.

This can only mean one thing: that before Yahusha was in His mother's womb, Yahuah was not his strength, because Yahusha did not yet exist. Pretty obvious that he had no need of strength. Yahuah was only Yahusha's strength, beginning at, starting with, His mother's womb. There is much more proof in scripture that Yahusha did not pre-exist but I'll stop here to keep this book on point.

We see below, that Yahusha's full birth into the family of YHVH and Divine Spiritual Body came AFTER resurrection not in any way did he “pre-exist” not even as a Spiritual Being. Scripture clearly states AFTER resurrection Yahusha "has become" the first fruits into the family of YHVH. We also see that Yahusha was not God at that time but "a man". We clearly see in verse 21 below that "BY MAN", not God, came the first born from the resurrection at which time Yahusha became fully divine and the first begotten son of YHVH. We also read that Yahusha is not unique in the process but rather the first of many more sons of God to come through resurrection in verse 22; each in our own order. Yahusha is the first born son of the resurrection and our elder brother NOT our God or part of a pagan Trinity. Definitely didn't pre-exist! Yahusha is known now as “the only begotten son” because to date the first resurrection has yet to occur.

1 Corinthians 15

20 But now the Messiah is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep (the firstborn son upon resurrection not from his human birth to Mary/Joseph). 21 For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Yahusha the Second Adam too was simply a man) also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in the Messiah all (the sons of YHWH) shall be made alive (begotten by YHWH as sons through resurrection). 23 But each one (of the sons of YHWH) in his own order (after Yahusha, the eldest son): The Messiah the firstfruits (first and only “begotten son” at this point), afterward those who are the Messiah's at His coming (First Resurrection when the rest of the sons will be begotten, Yahusha will no longer be "the only" begotten son then).

The point scripture clearly teaches is that Yahusha was no different that you and I. He was born into this world as a man and became the son of YHVH by the power of the resurrection. Prior to his human birth he did not exist anymore than you and I did. I will stop here to keep this chapter on point.

The Melchizedek that Abraham tithed to was not “Jesus incarnate” he was a foreshadowing of the coming King of Jerusalem. Just like Isaac was a foreshadowing of “the sacrifice of the first born son”, just like Moses was a foreshadowing, just like his successor Yahusha was a foreshadowing of The Messiah leading us into the “Promised Land” and so forth. None of these figures were actually Yahusha the Messiah pre-incarnate. Yahusha too is the “proxy” for YHVH NOT YHVH incarnate. All these doctrines of "incarnation" are pagan in origin and not scriptural.

His name was Melchizedek, so he was Yahusha!
No, that is a title given to all who rule as King and serve as High Priest over their people.

Melchizedek is a t NOT a proper name of a person. Melchizedek is a title that means King (Melchi) and Priest (Zedek/Zadok) in Hebrew. Abraham recognized that this King of Salem (we do not know his name) was both King and High Priest of Salem (Salem being the ruins upon which JerusSALEM was built) or a “Righteous Royal Priest”. So Abraham honored him with the title that best fit him.

Much like Yahusha. He too is King of JeruSALEM and High Priest in the Order of Zadok (the chosen line of Aaronic Priests to serve as eternal high priest). Yahusha inherited that “name/title” through bloodline lineage to the Royal Line of David (through his earthly father Joseph) and to the House of Zadok (through his earthly mother Miriam).

Philippians 2:9

Therefore Yahuah has highly exalted Yahusha and bestowed on him (through carefully cultivated bloodlines) the name that is above every name (Melchizedek)

Hebrews 1

4 So he became (through inheritance and carefully cultivated bloodlines) as much superior to the (other) messengers; as the name he has inherited (by blood) is superior to theirs.

Just because the title applies also to this King, does not mean he was Yahusha, that is ridiculous and an impossible “leap”.

He was ‘eternal’!
No human being is ‘eternal’ and all have parents and die!

Only Adam had ‘no parents'. All men, even Yahusha die, as we inherit death in our bodies.

Romans 5

12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—

Hebrews 9

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

So this “King of Salem” did die. This is yet another example of how the meaning of the text is lost in translation.

Sha'ul was simply stating a fact, that the King of Salem's lineage was not preserved because he was outside the bloodline of Abraham. Since his lineage was not preserved, we do not know who his mother and father was; or how long he lived or when he died. That is all Sha'ul was saying. "he had no parents" that we know of. "He had no beginning or ending of day" that we know of. Why, because as Sha'ul said... he has no genealogy for us to know these things. It was not preserved.

Hebrews 7

3 Without father or mother (that we know of), without genealogy, (so he remains) without beginning of days (we do not know when he was born) or end of life (or when he died... because those records of him were not kept), resembling (he was not Yahusha, he just "resembled" Yahusha who is) the Son of God, he (King of Salem) remains (in our minds like) a priest forever ('like" Yahusha).

But, he was “God” that is why Abraham tithed to him!
No, tithe just means 10% of something, nothing more than that.

The tithe had not yet been established, and you can “tithe” to others and honor Yahuah in the process. The reason Abraham "tithed" to this King of Salem is because that is the standard "split" of the spoils of war if one King brings his army to aid another. If Abraham didn’t share the spoils of war, there probably would have been another war between him and the King of Salem. Kings do not risk their armies for “free”. Abraham did what was right and expected of him. This is yet another example of the Kingdom principle that we are to support those who serve us! Their time/effort is not "free".

Sha'ul was simply using an analogy in these verses to make a point about Yahusha using a story in the Bible... nothing more than that.

Incarnation (re-incarnation, pre-carnation) are all PAGAN beliefs!

Those who want to worship the Messiah in idolatry under the Spirit of the False Messiah (incarnation) will twist, misteach, and believe anything to justify their idolatry. This is just one of many examples of twisting the scriptures and IMPLYING what is not there and ignoring the obvious.
