1
For since The Mosaic Covenant represents a physical shadow cast by the
true form of these spiritual realities which are good things to come in
The Yahushaic Covenant, sacrifices of a lamb on Passover defined in The
Law, offered continually every year, cannot make those who draw near
perfected (perfection is found in personal
sacrifice through sanctification and the spiritual attitude of the
heart/circumcision not outward physical rituals).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Hebrews 5 – Yahusha
demonstrates Circumcision of Heart
7 During
the days of Yahusha’s (human)
life on Earth (while
he offered himself as a LIVING sacrifice),
he repented offering up prayers and petitions (in the
Garden of Gethsemane)
with fervent cries and tears
to the one God (Shema! Yahuah)
who could save him from death, and he was heard by Yahuah because
of his reverent submission (to
the will of Yahuah per Zechariah Chapter
3, which is true sacrifice and a circumcised heart).
8 Although
he was a son of Yahuah he learned obedience from
discipline he suffered and, once made perfect (after his
final Passover suffering),
he (his
example)
became the source of Eternal Salvation for
all who obey him (and
follow his example and offer themselves as
living sacrificial lambs on Passover) 10 and
Yahusha was designated by Yahuah to be High Priest (see
Zechariah 3)
in the manner of a Righteous King (Melchizedek
-
and provide access to the Mercy Seat for his brothers/sisters to
come near and offer themselves as living sacrificial lambs - Romans
12:1).
2
If an animal could perfect the conscience, why would they have to be
continually offered once the worshipper had been cleansed? After all,
they would no longer have any consciousness of sins that had been
purged. 3 Instead, these sacrifices are only an annual
reminder of what is foretold in the stars since the foundation of the
world; that the Father has promised to forgive our sins (1
Peter 1:20, Jeremiah 31:34, AQUARIUS).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Yahusha was “portrayed as a lamb (ARIES)
crucified before the foundation of the world where he was “known” in
The Heavenly Scroll.
4
For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins
(forgiveness of sin comes from repentance of
heart / CIRCUMCISION
and through being born again through
living water / MIKVEH
and then
OFFERING
your life as a living sacrifice on
Passover). 5 As a result, when Yahusha the Messiah
came into the world to mediate a better covenant, he said,
“Animal Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body of
flesh have you prepared for me (to offer on
Passover); 6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings of
animals you have taken no pleasure. 7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I
have come to do your will, O Yahuah, as it is written of me in the
scroll of the book in heaven (The Heavenly
Scroll – LIBRA, CAPRICORNUS).’”
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Moznayim (LIBRA)
- balances, scales
The scales demand a price to be paid of
this seed, a cross to endure; the victim will be slain (to
pay the dowry and redeem his Bride) and purchase a crown (earn
the right to rule by willingly dying for the ones he will rule over
and demonstrating the greatest love of all).
Gedi (CAPRICORNUS)
- a kid (a young goat)
Eternal life (for
himself and his Bride) comes from his death, he's the Arrow
of God, he is pierced, yet springs up again in abundant life.
8
When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in
ANIMAL sacrifices, burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these
are offered according to The Mosaic Covenant where Yahuah’s rehearsals
became a burdensome ritual - Micah 6:6-8),
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Micah 6
6“With what shall I come before Yahuah, and bow myself before God on
high? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves a
year old? 7 Will Yahuah be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten
thousand of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my
transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” 8 He
has told you, O man, what is good; and what does Yahuah require of
you but to do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with
your God (Proverbs 21:3)?
Proverbs 21:3
To do righteousness and justice is
more desirable to Yahuah than sacrifice.
9
then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will written in The
Heavenly Scroll (where it lays out that HE is
the perfect sacrifice and must die to save his brothers).” In
fulfilling The Heavenly Scroll, he does away with the first physical
priesthood to establish the second Spiritual Priesthood as the Ruling
High Priest of the House of Zadok. 10 And by the work of
the Eternal High Priest we have been sanctified through the offering of
the body of Yahusha the Messiah on Passover - once for all.
11
And every Earthly priest performs his service daily (as
a temporary stand-in for the coming Eternal High Priest),
offering repeatedly the same sacrifices (to
keep hope alive), but these animal sacrifices made by a temporary
priesthood can never take away sins. 12 But when the Messiah
our High Priest had offered a single Passover sacrifice for sins once
for all, he was crowned King and sat down on the Throne in Heaven at the
right hand of the Throne of Creation that Yahuah the Creator sits on.
13 Waiting from the beginning of the Age of Pisces until his
enemies should be made a footstool for his feet at the transition of the
Age of Pisces to Aquarius. 14 For by a single offering he has
perfected for all time those who are being sanctified as he was… by
following his example (John 17:19, John
13:15).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Romans 12:1
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of Yahuah’s
Mercy, to offer your own bodies (not just Yahusha, we too
must follow in his footsteps) as a living sacrifice (living
sacrificial lamb on the Altar of Yahuah each Passover, as Commanded
- Exodus 12:3), Holy (set apart and prepared through Mikveh) and
pleasing to Yahuah (as Passover lambs without spot or blemish - 2
Peter 3:14)—this is your true and proper Worship.
15
And the Spirit of Holiness also bears witness to us through the
Scriptures; for after saying,
16
“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
declares Yahuah:
I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”
17
then He adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no
more.”
18
Where there is forgiveness of sins, there is no longer any offering for
sin required.
19
Because Yahuah has promised to wash away our sins through
MIKVEH
(Jeremiah 31, Zechariah 3, Ezekiel
36:25-27, Ephesians 5:26), brothers we have confidence to enter
the Most Holy Places by the blood OFFERING
of Yahusha (on Passover that
consummates the covenant of peace), 20 by the
new and living sacrificial way that Yahusha opened for us
by walking through the veil to approach the Altar in Heaven, that is,
through his Earthly example when he walked The Way of Mikveh,
Circumcision, and Offering through The Narrow Gate of Passover.
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
For more information on the Spring Feasts and
specifically Passover see my book The Narrow Gate. When speaking of
the sacrifice and the example Yahusha set, he is specifically
talking about Passover:
1
Corinthians 1
20 Where is the wise? Where is the
scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not Yahuah made
foolish the wisdom (human traditions) of this world? 21 For since,
in the Wisdom of Yahuah, the world (the
Greek/Roman Empires) through wisdom did not know Yahuah, it
pleased Yahuah through the foolishness of the message preached to
save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek
after wisdom (through philosophy); 23 but
we preach the Passover sacrifice of Yahusha, to the Jews a stumbling
block and to the Greeks foolishness,
The proper way to keep Passover, Mikveh,
Circumcision, and Offering is taught throughout both the “Old and
New” Covenants. We have as an assembly, lost our way and now are
consumed with pagan rituals… Sha’ul calls it a “new and living
sacrificial way” … laid out all over scripture and lost today
completely.
Jeremiah 31
as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of Living
Water (MIKVEH) on a level Path (The
Way) where they will not stumble.
Ezekiel
36 – Mikveh, Circumcision, Offering
…25 "Then I
will sprinkle clean living water on you (MIKVEH),
and you will be cleansed of your sin; I will cleanse you from all
your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 "Moreover, I will give
you a new (CIRCUMCIZED) heart (for
the Intent of My Law) and put a new (loving)
spirit (for My Law) within you;
and I will remove the (ritualistic)
heart of stone (which is enmity toward My
Law) from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 "I
will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes,
and you will be careful to observe My ordinances (to
bring your own Passover Lamb OFFERING to
the Altar - Exodus 12:1-3).
Ephesians 5 – Mikveh, Circumcision, Offering
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as the Messiah loved the body and
gave himself up for her (as the Passover
Lamb) 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with
(living) water (MIKVEH),
through the commandments (CIRCUMCISION
of heart) 27 and to present her to
himself as a radiant assembly, without spot or wrinkle or any other
blemish but holy and blameless (as a
living sacrificial OFFERING).
Colossians
2 – Mikveh, Circumcision, Offering
11 and in The
Yahushaic Covenant you were also
CIRCUMCIZED (in your heart)
with a circumcision made without hands (Sha’ul
is teaching the transposition of The Law into the Spirit), in
the removal of the body of the flesh (carnal
mindset) by the circumcision of the same Spirit of Holiness (righteous
keeping of the Spiritual Intent of the Law) that is in The
Yahushaic Covenant. 12 Having been buried with Yahusha in
MIKVEH, in which you were also
raised up (to a new and living
sacrificial way of life) with Yahusha through faith in the
working of Yahuah, who raised Yahusha from the dead. 13 When you
were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your
flesh (carnal mindset), Yahuah
made you alive together with Yahusha, having forgiven us all our
transgressions (by the blood of the
Passover Lamb OFFERING).
2 Peter 3
– Mikveh, Circumcision, Offering
14 Looking
forward to these things (Passover),
be diligent to be found by Him in the covenant of peace, without
spot and blameless (your body cleansed
with Living Water, your mind through Circumcision, and then living a
sacrificial life as an offering); 15 and consider the example
set (when he walked The Way of Mikveh,
Circumcision, and Offering on Passover) and the longsuffering
of our King which is Salvation —as also our beloved brother Sha’ul,
according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you (about
Passover - 1 Corinthians. 1:23),
21
Since we have a great priest serving in the Spiritual Temple of Yahuah,
22 let us draw near with a true
CIRCUMCIZED heart in full
assurance of faith (that walking The Way leads
to Eternal Life as Yahusha’s example is The True Way to Eternal Life
i.e., the way, truth, and the life - John - 14:6), with our
hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience (transposition
of the Red Heifer) and our bodies washed with pure living water (transposition
of MIKVEH).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Acts 22:16
16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up and wash your sins away
through Mikveh, calling on His name.’
Numbers 19:17
Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the
burnt purification from sin and living water shall be added to them
in a vessel.
Isaiah 1:16
"Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your
deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil,
Isaiah 4:4
When Yahuah has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and
purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of
judgment and the spirit of burning,
Jeremiah 2:13
"For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, The
fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken
cisterns That can hold no water.
Jeremiah 17:13
O Yahuah, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You will be
put to
shame. Those who turn away on earth will be written down, because
they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even Yahuah.
23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who
promised (that if we give our lives as a
Living Sacrificial OFFERING
– Romans 12:1) is faithful (that
Yahuah will forgive our sin - Hebrews 8:12, Zechariah 3:9, Jeremiah
31:34, Isaiah 43:25). 24 And let us consider how to
encourage each another to live a sacrificial life as our offering on
Passover (Exodus
12:1),
25 not neglecting to meet together on the Chagigah (see
my book The Narrow Gate), as is the habit of some (the
Chagigah is not even taught today), to encourage one another (to
walk The Way through The Narrow Gate), and all the more as you
see the day of our redemption drawing near.
26
For if we go on deliberately sinning after receiving the knowledge of
the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for those sins, 27
but a fearful expectation of judgment by His Law which is like a fury of
fire (Jeremiah 23:29, Jeremiah 5:14, Hebrews
12:29, Deuteronomy 4:24, Deuteronomy 9:3)
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
As we learned in the last chapters, it is not possible to lose your
salvation. It is FRUIT or your works that we are risking by slipping
in our walk. Again, in this chapter Sha’ul addresses this issue of
habitual sin. Unintentional sin is simply washed away and forgiven
with no consequence in this life. Habitual sin is not. That sin must
be “delt with fire” through suffering and discipline and we must be
broken.
The “fire” he speaks of is the Mystery Language or metaphor for
being judged by His Word… not burning in some mythical place called
“Hell”.
Jeremiah 23:29
"Is not my word like fire," declares Yahuah”
Jeremiah 5:14
Therefore, thus says Yahuah, the God of the hosts of heaven (the
constellations host stars which are His Divine Council),
"Because you have spoken this word, Behold, I am making My words in
your mouth fire And this people wood, and it will consume them.
Hebrews 12:29
for our "God is a consuming fire."
Exodus 24:17
The sight of the glory of Yahuah was like a consuming fire on
the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 4:24
For Yahuah your God is a consuming fire, a
jealous God.
Deuteronomy 9:3
Therefore understand today that Yahuah your God is He who
goes over before you as a consuming fire. He
will destroy them and bring them down before you; so, you shall
drive them out and destroy them quickly, as Yahuah has said to you.
that will consume those (works of wood, hay,
and stubble in the lives of those) that oppose Yahuah’s Will on
the Day of Judgment (1
Corinthians 3).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
1 Corinthians 3
12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 his workmanship will be evident,
because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with
fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work.…
28 Those who rejected
the Law given through Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two
or three witnesses. 29 How much more do you think a man
deserves to be disciplined, who has trampled the Son of Yahuah
underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (that
sanctified Yahusha - John 17:19-21) an unholy thing, and who has
insulted the Spirit of mercy? 30 For we know Him Who has
said: 6 “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay”, says Yahuah. And
again: “Yahuah will judge His people”. 31 It is a
fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Father’s discipline (Hebrews
12:4-11).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
Hebrews 12 – Our Training
through Discipline
6 For Yahuah disciplines
the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure
suffering as discipline; Yahuah is treating you as sons. For what
son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you do not experience
discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children
and not true sons … 11 No discipline seems enjoyable at the time,
but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness
and peace to those who have been trained by it.
32
But recall the days when you were formerly enlightened, and you endured
a hard struggle with suffering discipline and training. 33
Sometimes being personally exposed to public reproach and affliction,
and other times being partners with others treated to public reproach.
34 Like when you had compassion on me in prison, and you
joyfully accepted the plundering of your property to support my
ministry, since you knew that you yourselves had a better enduring
possession.
35
Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
36 Endure suffering as discipline and be trained by it to do
the will of Yahuah you may receive what He promised for obedience.
37 For He says,
“Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;
38 but My righteous one shall live by faith, and if he
shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him (and
I will discipline him with suffering).”
39
But we do not belong to those who draw back to the point of being lost,
but to the faith which restores our soul by being disciplined to
perfection in our training.
