---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT ----------------------
In Chapter 5, Sha’ul establishes Yahusha’s right to serve as
“Melchizedek” being from the line of the “ruler/Melchi” King David
and the House of Zadok. Sha’ul stresses that ALL high priests are
human chosen from among men to serve mankind before the Creator
ruling out incarnation.
Below is an excerpt from my book
Melchizedek and the Passover Lamb:
Overview of the Zadok
Priesthood
Zadok (Hebrew: Tzadok צדוק,
meaning "Righteous") was a Priest
descended from Eleazar, the son of Aaron, which is the anointed line
from which all High Priests must descend. After serving King David
faithfully in the revolt of Absalom, the High Priest Zadok was
instrumental in bringing King Solomon to the throne. High Priest
Zadok was the first High Priest to serve in The Temple of Solomon.
Those of the line of Zadok are called Zadokites or Zadok
Priests and are the only ones qualified to serve in the office
of High Priest over Israel. This is paramount, because if Yahusha is
to be The Eternal High Priest, he MUST fulfill this requirement.
While the entire tribe of Levi was chosen to be Temple Priests, not
all could be High Priests. As the Dead Sea Scrolls indicate,
Zadokites were "to be as one in following the Law and
(sharing) wealth and reconciling (based on) the mouth of the sons of
Zadok the keepers of the covenant.” more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zadok
Before Aaron’s death, he was accompanied by his brother Moses and
his sons Eleazar and Ithamar to the cave where he was to die. Aaron
witnessed his brother Moses dress the elder, Eleazar, with the
garments of the High Priest
and anoint Eleazar the successor to the office of High Priest of
Israel once Aaron died. This event was the catalyst for all future
candidates of High Priesthood
be patrilineal descendants of Eleazar the elder son of Aaron.
Zadok was a descendant of Eleazar the High Priest.
At the time of High Priest Phineas, the son of Eleazar appeased
Yahuah’s anger. The Divine
blessing of Yahuah giving the House of Zadok the Divine Right to be
mediator of the coming Covenant of Peace, serve as the Eternal High
Priest, and atone for Yahuah’s children is found in Numbers 25:13.
Numbers 25:13
To High
Priest Phineas the son of High Priest Eleazar the son of High Priest
Aaron. Behold I give to him My Covenant of Peace and will be with
him and his descendants after him (The
House of Zadok),
I grant him a Covenant of Everlasting Priesthood in turn of his
zealousness for his Elohim, and the right (for
the House of Zadok)
to atone for the sons of Israel.
Anytime you see Sha’ul mention “High Priest” it is a direct
reference to the ones chosen from The House of Zadok. This is
extremely important when tracing the right of Yahusha to be the
Eternal High Priest. If Yahusha cannot be proven to be a Zadokite
High Priest, then he cannot be the Prince of Peace and mediator of
the "New Covenant of Peace", he cannot be called the Eternal High
Priest, and he has no authority to be the sin offering and atone
for humanity at the altar!
When Sha’ul uses the term “Melchizedek” that is a compound
title of “Melchi” which is “High/Ruler” and “Zadok”. It is the “name
above every name (Philippians 2:9)” and the convergence of the
bloodline of David through Solomon and The House of Zadok that
resulted in the “Ruling Zadok” or Melchizedek.
When looking back at the history of the Zadok High Priests we find:
- The High Priest to King David and King Solomon was Zadok
- The first High Priest in The Temple of Solomon was Zadok
- The last High Priest to serve in The Temple of Solomon was
Yahuzadak (Yahuah Zadok)
- The first High Priest in
The Temple of Herod was Yahusha III from The House of Zadok
- The High Priest at the time Yahusha was born was Yahusha
ben Sie or Yahusha V from The House of Zadok
- The
High Priest John the Baptist who anointed Yahusha High Priest in
succession at his Mikveh was from The House of Zadok
- The
Eternal High Priest Yahusha the Messiah is from The House of
Zadok
We have all been taught the
"Melchizedek Priesthood" descending from the King of Salem (a pagan
king) was continued by Yahusha. Question...
Which “priesthood” serves eternally in the
Kingdom Temple. Is it some mythical “Melchizedek Priesthood”
descending from the pagan King of Salem? Or is it The Zadok
Priesthood of which Yahusha is “King” i.e., MelchiZADOK?
We see in Ezekiel 40:45-46 AFTER the
resurrection of the dead when the Living Stones of the final Temple
are laid in place, it is the sons of Zadok exclusively who serve in
that Spiritual Temple.
Ezekiel 40:45-46
…45 Then
the man said to me: “The chamber that faces south is for the priests
who keep charge of the temple, 46 and the chamber that faces north
is for the priests who keep charge of the altar. These are the sons
of Zadok, the only Levites who may approach Yahuah to minister
before Him.”
There is ONLY the Zadok Priesthood
lead by the Ruling High Priest (Melchizedek) who is Yahusha....
who was of The House of Zadok. See my book below Melchizedek and
the Passover Lamb for more info.
1
Every high priest is chosen from among men and appointed
from the House of Zadok to act on behalf of men before
the altar of Yahuah as mediator (of the
Covenant of Peace 1 Timothy 2:5), to offer gifts and
sacrifices for sins (his own and the
peoples).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
Yahuah is the “only
God” and Yahusha is the human mediator between mankind and
Yahuah who now serves eternally as High Priest being risen from
the dead.
1 Timothy 2:5
5 For
there is only one God, and there is one mediator between Yahuah
and men, the man (not
god) Yahusha the Messiah,
2
Because he is threatened persistently with weakness himself, he can
deal gently with those less knowledgeable and those who have lost
their way. 3 Because he is human too and all have sinned
(Romans 3:23); he is obligated to
offer sacrifice for those of the people as well as for his own sin.
4 And this is an honor not to take lightly or for
himself, but only when Yahuah calls him, just as Aaron was.
5
So also the Messiah did not exalt himself to be made a high priest
from the House of Zadok, but was appointed by Yahuah who said
to him, “You are my son, today I have begotten you”; 6 as
He also said, “You are a High (Melchi)
Priest forever, after the Order of Zadok (Melchi-Zadok
means “Ruling Zadok High Priest”).”
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
Yahusha was created “in the flesh” by
Yahuah like all men (Hebrews 2:14-17). He was not a “god” in any
way but human “in every way”. As such, being created in the
flesh, he was “threatened persistently with weakness (vs 2
above) or “prone to sin and opposed to Yahuah’s Will”. The
Hebrew word for “flesh” is sarki below:
g4561 ‘sarki’ flesh - Thayer:
2a) the body of a man 2b) used of natural or physical origin,
generation, or relationship 2b1) born of natural generation 4)
the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man
apart from divine influence, and therefore prone to sin and
opposed to God.
Yahusha clearly declared he was NOT
sin-free and did not have a “Divine Nature”!
Mark 10:18
“Why do you call me good (g18.
Agathos “Divine Nature”)?” Yahusha answered. “No one is
good (has an intrinsically good nature)—except
Yahuah alone.
Strong's Concordance
Greek
18 agathós – inherently (intrinsically) good; as to the
believer, 18 (agathós) describes what originates from God and is
empowered by Him in their life, through faith.
So Yahusha was “born to two human
parents (natural generation) outside ANY Divine Influence, prone
to sin and opposed to Yahuah’s Will”. This is why he had to
be PERFECTED through suffering discipline for disobedience just
like all the rest of us. He was only a human being. As such, he
was not sin-free from birth but had his sin forgiven through
Mikveh as he walked The Way by example. He was “sin free” as
High Priest as Sha’ul stated earlier. This is critical and what
qualified him to mediate on behalf of humanity.
7
In the days of Yahusha flesh (when he was
learning obedience vs 8), Yahusha repented with loud
cries and tears offering up prayers and supplications to Yahuah who
alone was able to save him from the death decrees for his
disobedience (he sought his own will 3
times! Asking to have this “cup” pass from him, that “cup” was
Yahuah’s Will that he die on Passover), and Yahuah
heard Yahusha’s cries and forgave his sin because of his reverent
submission to Yahuah’s Will (Zechariah 3,
Matthew 6:10, Hebrews 10:7).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
Yahusha's sin is forgiven, as Yahuah consecrates Yahusha High
Priest directly, and then enters into The Yahushaic Covenant
with the Mediator to "forgive our sin" in fulfillment of
Jeremiah 31:
Zechariah 3
1 Then he showed me Yahusha the high priest standing before the
angel of YAHUAH, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse
him. 2 YAHUAH said to Satan, “YAHUAH rebuke you, Satan! YAHUAH,
who has chosen Jerusalem (because
Satan is attempting to get Yahusha NOT to empty himself of his
right to the throne and take the kingdom by force - Matthew 4:9),
rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from
the fire (Yahusha
had been in the desert for 40 days with little food - Matthew
4:2)?” 3 Now Yahusha
was dressed in filthy clothes (metaphor
of sin Isaiah 64:6)
as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were
standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then YAHUAH
said to Yahusha, “See, I have taken away your sin
(Yahusha
had just been Mikveh'd clean of his sin by John to fulfill the
Righteous Requirements of The Law - Matthew 3:13-17, Ezekiel
36:24-31), and I will
put fine garments (of
the High Priest) on
you.” 5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban
(of
the High Priest - Hebrews 4:15)
on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and
clothed him (in
the garments of the High Priest),
while the angel of YAHUAH stood by.
Hebrews 10:7
Then I said,
'Here I am--it is written about me in The Heavenly Scroll-- I
have come to do Your Will, my Elohim! (Matthew
6:10)
Matthew 6:10
Your
Kingdom (declared
in heaven - Matthew 4:17)
come, Your Will be done, on Earth as it is written in The
Heavenly Scroll (Psalm
19).
8
Although he was a son, he learned obedience through discipline he
suffered for disobedience.
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
Yahusha was perfected
through suffering discipline (Hebrews 12:7). If he was not
disciplined for disobedience unto perfection, then he WAS NOT
YAHUAH’S SON (Hebrews 12:8)! Like all of us, Yahusha was TRAINED
for his position as High Priest and King by a life on Earth:
Hebrews 12 –
Our Training through Discipline by a Loving Father
4
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the
point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten the
exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take
lightly the discipline of Yahuah your Father, and do not lose
heart when He rebukes you. 6 For Yahuah disciplines the one He
loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7
Endure suffering as discipline; Yahuah is treating you
as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If
you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you
are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Furthermore,
we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we
respected them. Should we not much more submit to the Father of
our spirits and live (Yahusha was
heard by Yahuah because of his submission to Yahuah’s discipline
Hebrews 5:7)? 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a short
time as they thought best, but Yahuah disciplines us for our
good, so that we may share in His holiness. 11No discipline
seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it
yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who
have been trained by it.
9
And being made perfect through sanctification, he became
(once his sin was forgiven and he was
perfected) the source of eternal salvation to all who obey
him and walk The Way of Mikveh, Circumcision, and Offering (see
my book The Narrow Gate), 10
being designated by Yahuah a high priest after the Order of Zadok.
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
John 17:19-21
"And for their sakes I sanctify myself (as
a son in covenant with Yahuah),
that they also might be sanctified through the truth (that
by entering into a marriage covenant with me, they will become
children of Yahuah by law - John 1:12).
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall
believe on me through their word (confess
that Yahusha is our Messiah, our mediating High Priest, our
elder brother in resurrection order, our bridegroom through
marriage);
That they all may be one (family
as children of Yahuah);
as Thou, Father, are in (an
adoption covenant with)
me (through
resurrection to become my Father),
and I in (covenant
with)
you (to
become Your firstborn from the dead, SON),
that they also may be one (Family)
in (covenant
with)
us:
11
About this (Yahusha role as High Priest
and his state of sin vs. righteousness) we have much to say,
and it is hard to explain, since you do not want to listen to the
Truth (but commit blasphemy saying
Yahuah came to Earth as human and died). 12
Even though you should be teachers by this time, you need someone to
teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of Yahuah (that
Yahuah is not a mortal man but immortal Spirit Romans 1, Numbers
23:19).
---------------------- COMMENTARY & CONTEXT
----------------------
Romans 1:18-23 & 28
18
The wrath of Yahuah is being revealed from (The)
Heaven(ly Scroll)
against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who
suppress the truth (of
the One and Only Elohim, Yahuah - John 17:3)
by their wickedness (denying
Yahuah’s Immortality claiming He came to Earth and died!),
19 since what may be known about Yahuah (that
He is Invisible - Col. 1:15, John 1:18, 1 John 4:12, Hebrews
11:27, 1 Timothy 6:16, Ex. 33:20, Job 9:11, 1 Timothy 1:17,
Romans 1:20 - and not a man - Numbers 23:19, Hosea 11:9)
is plain to them, because Yahuah has made it plain to them (through
Creation, The Heavenly Scroll, and His Word of His Testimony).
20 For since the Creation of the world (LOGOS/DABAR
– ‘Spoken Promise from the beginning’ written into the
stars on Day 4 of Creation when the stars were created as signs
called The Heavenly Scroll/Divine Counsel Psalm 19)
Yahuah’s Invisible
qualities—His Eternal Power and Divine Nature (Immortality)—have
been clearly seen (in
the stars/The Heavenly Scroll),
being understood from what has been made (Creation,
the stars - Isaiah 48:11-17, Psalm 19, Enoch 35:3),
so that people are without excuse (Galatians
3:6-9) 21 For although they knew Yahuah
Created The Heavenly Scroll, they neither Glorified Him as the
Invisible, Immortal Elohim nor gave thanks to Him for His
Handiwork (proclaimed
in the stars/constellations - Psalm 19, Enoch 35:3, Psalm
68:32-34),
but their thinking became futile (believing
in Incarnation which is The Way of the Gentiles)
and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although
they claimed to be wise men (h2450
chakam -
'astrologers'),
they were fooled by The Dragon and put their faith in the
corrupted Babylonian Zodiac (Incarnation)
23 and
exchanged the Glory of the Immortal, Invisible,
Spiritual Elohim … 28 Furthermore, just
as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of
Yahuah (that
He is IMMMORTAL and INVISIBLE and SPIRIT),
so Yahuah gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do
what ought not to be done (put
their faith in the corrupted Babylonian Zodiac, go The Way of
the Gentiles, commit the ‘two evils’ and blaspheme the Holy
Spirit/Ruach which declares Yahuah is an Immortal Invisible
Spirit NOT a
mortal man who died).”
Numbers
23:19
Yahuah is not human, that He should lie, not a
human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak (that
he is not human) and then not act (and
come to Earth in the flesh)? Does he promise (that
he is immortal) and not fulfill (it
by dying on a cross)?
You are still babies in the Spiritual Truths and need milk, not
solid food. 13 Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in
the word of righteousness, being nothing more than a Spiritual
child. 14 But solid food (concerning
Yahusha the High Priest) is for the mature, for those who
have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to
distinguish good doctrine (solid
food) from evil doctrine (milk).
NOTE: Chapter 6 is a continuation of this subject listing
the “elementary teachings about the Messiah” that our teachers
are in need of being taught.
