Below, Isaiah mentions the days of Joshua as "days of old" when they
came into the land. Isaiah lived around 700 BCE.

Ancient to Jeremiah who lived around 500 BCE would then be around the
time before Abraham (Age of Taurus). Jeremiah lived 900 years after
Moses which is not “ancient” to his day and within the same Age (of
Aries).
Abraham lived in the 18th century BCE. Dating back from Abraham to
Creation would all be considered “ancient” to all mankind including
Jeremiah. When looking for “the way” or the “ancient path” we refuse to
walk and the "word that can be seen” that we refuse to admit we must
look past the Age of Aries into the Age of Taurus which was "ancient" to
Jeremiah. The book of Ezra provides an account of the Jews' regathering,
their struggle to survive, and to rebuild what had been destroyed during
the Babylonian captivity. We see concerning the prophet Ezra/Esdras:

We see above that the "Ancient Path", now including Moses, was lost
in Babylonian captivity. The world was in total darkness and the "light"
no longer shined. Every word had to be restored and much was still
"transmitted secretly to the wise". Who are the "wise men" in the Bible?

when he was born were astrologers translated “wise men”!

WILL YOU NOT ADMIT THEM?
Israel started down the path to two Hellenized religions (Judaism and
Christianity) then refused to admit or walk the Ancient Path. The
Heavenly Scroll was lost. Israel and its priesthood fell into pagan
worship. Therefore so did the scribes who elaborated on the Torah, which
was faithfully transmitted to Ezra and his scribes, with unproven often
made-up "oral traditions". This was the state of the "word" in Yahusha's
day, which he pushed back against.

When did the Israelites worship other gods? It was only during the
Babylonian Exile (about 586 B.C.E. to 500 B.C.E) and then followed in
the Second Temple period (500 B.C.E. to 70 C.E.). From that point on...
Rabbinical Judaism took over and totally corrupted the Torah and
Prophets with oral traditions called the Talmud.
The Bologna Torah Scroll (1155–1225 CE) is the world's oldest
complete surviving Torah scroll. The scroll contains the full text of
the five Books of Moses in Hebrew. Concrete archaeological evidence
bearing on the dating of the Torah is found in early manuscript
fragments, such as those found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. The earliest
manuscript fragments of the Torah date to the late third or early second
centuries BCE.
