1 (speaking
to the Spiritually mature) Accept the immature one whose Faith is
weak, without quarreling over disputable matters (which
is what immature children in the Faith do. They argue over things they
do not yet understand). 2 One person’s Faith allows
them to (metaphorically) eat anything
(they do not have teeth to eat the meat of the
word, which is Spiritually discerned intent), but another, whose
Faith is weak, (metaphorically) eats
only vegetables (they are a child Spiritually
addicted to milk/the letter not understanding intent).
3 The one who eats everything (the
Spiritually mature son who understands the Spiritual Law from the intent)
must not treat with contempt the (immature)
one who does not (have the Spiritual chops to
understand intent, but remain a slave to the letter), and the (immature)
one who does not eat everything (still addicted
to milk/letter of The Law) must not judge the one who does (have
the Spiritual chops and understand intent and walk in Liberty),
for Yahuah has accepted them (and appointed
them mature sons and granted them Liberty in light of the letter which
may appears as ‘breaking the Law’ in the immature eyes of others 1
Corinthians 10).
1 Corinthians 10
28 But if someone tells you,
“This food was offered to idols,” then do not eat it, for the sake
of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience— 29 the other
one’s conscience, I mean, not your own (because
you did not sacrifice that meat, and there is no such thing as an
idol “God” 1 Corinthians 8:4 it is just meat). For why should
my liberty (understanding the intent behind
the letter of the Law not to eat meat sacrificed to an idol is that
we are not to WORSHIP idols) be determined by someone else’s
conscience? 30 If I partake in the meal giving thanks to Yahuah (Spiritual
Sacrifice) why am I denounced because of the clean meat for
which I give thanks (it was sacrificed by
another and we are not held to account for another’s sin Deuteronomy
24:16)?…
4 Who are you (the
Spiritually immature who are still slaves to the letter of The Law
yourself not trained in “Spiritual Intent”) to judge someone
else’s servant (you are still a slave to the
letter yourself and not called or trained as a judge over The Law James
4:11-12)?
To their own master, servants stand (in
their Spiritual liberty) or fall (due to
immature unrighteous judgment). And they (the
mature with Liberty) will stand (be
justified), for Yahuah is able to make them stand (by
granting them that Liberty in the first place, as He alone is the
Standard of Righteousness, so have faith in the Liberty you have been
granted Romans 14:22).
5 One person considers one (Feast)
day more sacred than another; another considers every (Feast)
day alike (in sacred Holiness). Each of
them should be fully convinced in their own mind (because
it is personal matter of maturity, keep it between yourself and Yahuah
Romans 14:22). 6 Whoever regards one (Feast)
day as more special than another does so (celebrate
the Holy Day giving honor to) to Yahuah. Whoever eats meat (on
Feast Day like Passover) does so to Yahuah, for they give thanks
to Elohim; and whoever abstains (fasts on Yom
Kippur for example) does so to Yahuah and gives thanks to Elohim.
7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us
dies for ourselves alone. (we do what we do,
out of love for Yahuah, and we each have our own understanding of
‘intent’ and been given unique Liberty by our Father in a personal
relationship) 7 For none of us lives of himself,
and no man dies of himself. 8 For if we live, we live to
Yahuah forever; but if we die, we will die to Yahuah. Therefore, whether
we live or die, we are Yahuah’s. 9 For this very reason
Yahusha died and was restored to life again; that he might be the Judge
of both the dead and the living. 10 You (Spiritually
immature), then, why do you judge your brother or sister (you
are not yet qualified to judge by ‘intent’ and are not privy to Liberty
granted by Yahuah in a personal relationship you are not involved in)?
Or why do you (Spiritually mature) treat
them (the Spiritually immature) with
contempt (because they are ignorant of the
meatier matters and Spiritual Intent)?
For we will all stand before Yahusha’s
Judgment Seat. 11 For it is written: As surely as I live,
says Yahuah, every knee will bow to Me, and every tongue will confess
to Yahuah (that Yahusha is the Messiah to
the Glory of Yahuah Philippians 2:11).
Philippians 2:11
and every
tongue acknowledge that Yahusha is the Messiah/King (who
fulfilled the promise in the stars to Abraham), to the glory
of Yahuah the Father (which the stars
proclaim Psalm 19). 12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you
have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my
absence, continue to work out your salvation with fear and
trembling.…
12 So then, each of us will give an
account of ourselves to Yahuah (based on our
personal level of maturity and Liberty). 13 Therefore
let us (the Spiritually Immature) stop
passing (unrighteous or unqualified)
judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind (to
understand intent and) not to put any stumbling block or obstacle
in the way of a (weaker less mature)
brother or sister
(… do not exercise your
Liberty in front of them because you cause them to “stumble in judgment”
and sin in their unrighteous judgment and gossip).
14 I am convinced, being fully
persuaded in covenant with the Messiah Yahusha, that nothing (speaking
of Spiritual Intent using eating as a metaphor) is unclean in
itself (The Law is training in Righteous Intent
2 Timothy 3:16).
2
Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful
for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training
in righteousness (which is the intent
of your heart 1 Samuel 16:7, Jeremiah 17:10, Luke 16:15, Acts 1:24),
But if anyone in their heart regards (speaking
of Spiritual Intent) something as unclean, then for that person,
it is unclean (because whatever is not of Faith
is sin, verse 23). 15 If your brother or sister (weaker
in Faith still addicted to the letter and not yet trained in intent)
is distressed because of what you eat (of the
meatier Spiritual doctrines because you have a mature understanding of
intent and have been granted Liberty), you are no longer acting
in love (if you exercise that Liberty from the
letter in front of them). Do not by your eating (display
of Liberty) destroy someone for whom Yahusha died (because
they are not yet Spiritually trained by keeping The Law yet to discern
intent). 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good
(your Liberty) be spoken of as evil (by
the weaker in maturity as they will judge you unrighteously and
go about gossiping and accusing you falsely of breaking The Law).
17 For the Kingdom of Yahuah is not a
matter of eating and drinking (the letter of
The Law), but of (Spiritual
Righteousness produced by obedience to the intent of The Law which is)
Righteousness, peace and joy in the Spirit of Holiness, 18
because anyone who serves Yahusha in this way (does
not judge other’s by the letter of The Law, and does not exercise their
Liberty in the presence of weaker brothers) is pleasing to Yahuah
and receives human approval. 19 Let us therefore make every
effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
20 Do not destroy the work of Yahuah (as
He disciplines and trains the weak) for the sake of (metaphorically
speaking) food (maturity and liberty).
All food is clean (whether it be milk, solid,
meat, or vegetable… Sha’ul is speaking in parallels here not about the
Dietary law), but it is wrong for a person to eat anything (display
Liberty) that causes someone else to stumble (so
be careful with your Spiritual Liberty in front of them, they cannot
handle seeing this display of Liberty and will accuse you falsely of
breaking the letter of The Law and therefore stumble in judgment).
21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do
anything else (display Liberty from the letter)
that will cause your (weaker immature)
brother or sister to fall (into self-righteous
judgment and gossip).
22 So whatever you believe about these
things keep between yourself and Yahuah (maturity
and Liberty is to be kept personal between you and your Father NOT put
on public display). Blessed is the one who does not condemn
himself by what (Liberty) Yahuah
approves (The Law is a personal guide to
Righteousness and applied uniquely in each of our lives in a personal
relationship with our Father. Once Liberty is granted in light of The
Law, we must stand in Faith because we will be tempted to condemn
ourselves for that Liberty). 23 But whoever has doubts
is condemned if they eat (if you take Liberty
that has not been given, then you have taken license to sin, your
conscience will bear witness if you have taken license, Romans 2:15),
because their eating (Liberty) is not
from Faith (therefore it is license to sin not
liberty); and everything that you do that does not come from
Faith is sin (Liberty is a VERY slippery slope!).
