The Branch who sprung up as 'The Tree of Life'
Was it a Roman cross (of Tammuz) that Yahusha
suffered for our sins, or was it a tree? Is it possible that the meaning of the
word cross has been corrupted over the last two thousand years?
This word translated ‘cross’ or ‘tree’, comes from the Greek
word, xulon, (xoo-lon), (Strong’s 3586) is quite unique in its
application. The literal meaning is a stick, club, tree, timber or other wooden
article of substance, such as a staff, stocks, tree or wood. At the same time,
the word, cross, stauroo (stow-roo), (Strong’s 4716) means to
impale or crucify on a stauros (stow-ros) a stake, post set upright as
an instrument of capital punishment. So, a cross could be a tree and a tree
could be a cross. But which is it? Let us look closer.
Only one time is, xulon, or tree, used in the Synoptic
gospels:
Luke 23:31
“they do these things in a green tree”.
Yet, Luke uses this same word, only three times in Acts and
all in specific reference to Yahusha and his crucifixion. Each one of these
verses were spoken by Peter:
Acts 5:30
“whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.”
Acts 10:39
“whom they killed by hanging on a tree.”
Acts 13:29
“they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb”.
The first reference is to the Sanhedrin, the second when he
preached to the house of Cornelius in the city of Herod in Caesarea, and the
third when he preached in Antioch of Pisidia. Peter later uses this same word
in:
I Peter 2:24
“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree.”
Sha’ul uses this or “xulon’ or tree in Galatians:
Galatians 3:13
“Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree.”
The final passages are in Revelation and all are in
reference to the Tree of Life.
Revelation 2:7
“To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the
midst of the Paradise of Yahuah.”
Revelation 22:2
“In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the Tree of
Life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month.”
Revelation 22:14
“Blessed are those who do Yahuah’s Commandments that they may have the right to
the Tree of Life, and may enter through the Gates into the City.
What we find is that
Luke, in the Gospel of Luke, said that a tree is a green tree then, also in
Acts, states emphatically (using the powerful words of the Apostle Peter),
that this word specifically applied to Yahusha hanging on a tree, taken down
from a tree or bore our sins on a tree.
Then in Revelation, we find the word ‘xulon’, is
referenced to the Tree of Life. Was the crucifixion of Yahusha corrupted by the
early orthodox Roman Christian Church to mean the cruel, demeaning, and
horrible instrument of Roman punishment? When actually, Yahuah wanted us to
know that Yahusha was killed on the Living Tree of Life as an object lesson of
the true ‘wages of sin’?
The "tree" was setup upright as the photo shows.
It was a "Living Tree" when Yahusha was placed on it. The meaning of
this event, is that "sin" kills The Tree of Life represented by
Yahusha hanging on that tree.
Then Yahusha, the Branch/Root/Tree of Life, was replanted
back into the ground (death) and risen to Fulfill The Tree of Life.
Anyone who "eats of that tree" i.e. enters into The Yahushaic Covenant,
is granted Eternal Life as we are grafted into THAT tree...
John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive Yahusha (as the Groom), to those who believed in (the Marriage Covenant that bears) his name (The Yahushaic Covenant), Yahusha (through Marriage) gave them (who
are properly in Covenant) the right to become Children of Yahuah (by
Law).
1 John 5
Yahuah has given us Eternal Life, and this Life (found) in (Covenant with)
His Son (The Yahushaic Covenant). 12 Whoever
has the Son (in Covenant) has (Eternal) Life; whoever does not have (the Covenant of) the Son of Yahuah does not have (Eternal) Life. 13 I write these things to you who
believe in (the Covenant that bears) the name
of the Son of Yahuah (The Yahushaic Covenant)
so that you may know that you have Eternal Life.
Yahusha was pictured symbolically in the Garden as “The Tree
of Life”. Yahuah had a Plan from the Beginning, and Yahusha was that “Plan
Fulfilled in the flesh” when he was born, per John Chapter 1.
Adam and Eve were not allowed to partake of that “Tree of
Life”, because Yahuah’s Plan of Salvation through a human mediating High
Priest, who would be risen Divine, as laid out in The Heavenly Scroll before
Adam and Eve were created, had not yet been Fulfilled! So, they could
not eat of that tree until Yahuah’s Plan of Salvation would be Fulfilled in
Yahusha the Messiah.
“Eating of The True of Life” is a metaphor for being Adopted
by Yahuah through The Yahushaic Covenant; an Adoption Covenant whereby we are
granted Eternal Life as Yahuah’s Children.
We know that Nazarene means “the Branch” and Yahusha is the
Fulfillment of The Heavenly Scroll where the Branch is foretold. He is… The
Nazarene! The types and shadows in Scripture are ripe with imagery of a “tree”,
or “branch”. We read that Yahusha was the Branch that was rejected by his own.
John 1:11
He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
Instead, they hung Yahusha on “the Tree of Life” where he
died, and was then replanted into the ground, and then sprung back up as The
Eternal Tree of Life foretold in the stars called The Heavenly Scroll by the
constellation Capricorn:
CAPRICORNUS
Eternal life comes from his death, he's the Arrow of Yahuah, he is
pierced, yet springs up again in abundant life.
Yahusha is also seen as the Chief Cornerstone of The Temple.
The “builders” were the descendants of Abraham via The House of Judah who
rejected The Branch, broke it off, and planted it into the ground.
Mark 12:10
"Have you not even read this Scripture: 'THE STONE WHICH THE
BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone;
“Nazarene” means followers of the Notsri (Righteous
Branch/Tree of Life) who is Yahusha. We are grafted into THAT tree! We
enter into Covenant with Yahuah through THAT BRANCH, and partake of the Tree of
Life (receive Eternal Life).
Isaiah 42:6
"I am Yahuah, I have called you in
Righteousness, I will also hold you by the hand and watch over you, And I will
appoint you as a Covenant to the people, As a Light to the nations,
Jeremiah 23:5
"The days are coming," declares
Yahuah, "when I will raise up for David a Righteous Branch, a King who
will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
Isaiah 4:2
“In that day the Branch of Yahuah will be
beautiful and Glorious, and the Fruit of the Earth will be the pride and the
adornment of the survivors of Israel.
Isaiah 11:1
“Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch from his
roots will bear fruit (The Tree of Life, WE are its
fruit)
Isaiah 53
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom
is the arm of Yahuah revealed? 2 For he (Yahusha)
shall grow up before Yahuah as a tender shoot/branch/tree, and as a root out of
a dry ground (this is the ROOT we are grafted too):
he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, no beauty that we
should desire him (he’s just another human being).
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief: and we hid as it were faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed
him not.
