Much of the misunderstanding comes in the way our English
Bibles were translated. They were translated very poorly (to put it mildly)
and none of the translators were believing Jews (Nazarenes), they were Hellenized Jews and
Greeks.
Concerning The Law of Yahuah, the translators
failed to distinguish when Sha’ul was talking about “the Law of the land”, and
when Sha’ul was referring to The Law of Yahuah. They translated
both as ‘the Law’ leaving those reading the English Bibles totally in
the dark as to what Sha’ul was saying. We see in Sha’ul’s writings, the same
battle between the “Talmud/Oral Traditions of the Pharisees” and “The Written
Torah of Yahuah”. The “Law of the land” (in Sha’ul’s day) was the oral
traditions of the Pharisees, the same foundation of Rabbinical Judaism today. The
6,200-page Babylonian Talmud. When Sha’ul was speaking against oral tradition,
he would just use the word “nomos”. The word “nomos” or just “law” is any
law whatsoever or the law of the land.
When speaking of The Law of Yahuah, the
Apostle Sha’ul used the Greek phrase “ho nomos” or THE Law. When Sha’ul
added the article “ho” before “nomos” he was speaking of The Law of Yahuah.
We see that “nomos” without the article “ho” is not
referring specifically to The Law of Yahuah, but to “any law whatsoever”
or law of the land.
Nomoß - Strong's Number: 3551
- anything established, anything received by usage, a
custom, a law, a command
- of any law whatsoever
|
This is not translated in our English Bibles, and we are not
taught these things in our Christian Churches and learning centers that train
our pastors. Therefore, many times when Sha’ul is speaking against the
Takkanots (man-made commands) or Talmud (oral traditions), it is
mistranslated as The Law and we are taught he is speaking against
The Law of Yahuah. The translators literally went in and added
the article “ho” in from of EVERY instance of “nomos”, twisting the meaning of
the text. When Sha’ul is actually, like Yahusha, overturning the Rabbinical
System of Takkanots! Sha’ul was a Nazarene.
In my book, The Nazarene; I am going to cover
this, and much more concerning the writing of the Apostle Sha’ul. I am going to
show that he was very much a Notsri or Nazarene, a keeper and protector of The Law,
the Prophets, and the Messiah. Sha’ul carried forward the banner that both John
the Baptist and Yahusha carried; to re-establish the Torah and overturn
Rabbinical Judaism. That battle with the establishment, like John and Yahusha,
cost Sha’ul his life at the hands of those who benefited from the established
system in Jerusalem… The Pharisees, Sadducees, and their Roman benefactors. Many things concerning who Sha’ul was and what he taught,
has been hidden from us. Much like the true Messiah has been Hellenized to be
Greek appropriate, so too has Sha’ul. The degree our English Bibles have been
altered and Hellenized should be obvious. We know the extensive use of
impersonal pronouns such as he and him confuse the text by making
it passive voice and not actively naming the subject with the use of proper
names. Making false doctrine and various interpretations the order of the day.
We also know the title for Ba’al (which is The LORD)
replaced the name Yahuah in the Babylonian Torah (the Torah coming out of
Babylon). In our modern English translations, the Greek word for King,
which is Kurios when referring to Yahusha, is translated The Lord
instead of King or Ruler. The Greek word for God which is Theos is also
translated as The LORD when referring to Yahuah. This further confuses the text.
So by calling both Yahuah and Yahusha “Lord” instead of properly translating
“God” for Yahuah and “King” for Yahusha, and then using impersonal pronouns
“he/him” instead of their proper names, our English translations are very
confusing to say the least! This enabled the false religion of Christianity to
teach that Yahuah and Yahusha were the same person or a “Trinity”.
For the uninitiated (which is all Christian preachers and
teachers who are without The Spirit of Holiness and do not understand the
Mystery Language) it becomes difficult to discern who is being referred to
with the impersonal pronouns and the use of the same title for both Yahuah and Yahusha.
We know the translators added words to change the meaning of the text. We
know the translators intentionally mistranslated other words as to imply their
false doctrines or even wrote pagan philosophies onto the text as in John
Chapter 1 and “Logos”. All of these mistranslations of the intent of the text,
lead to false doctrines because the text is made so general and passive; it
is hard to comprehend. Only those with The Spirit of Holiness within them,
and the Seal of Yahuah over their minds, are capable of understanding Scripture.
Those who speak the metaphorical language the Bible is encoded in. The
“scribes” (translators) were under the influence of The Spirit of the False
Messiah and The Spirit of Error. They handled the Word of Yahuah
falsely as they twisted the Scriptures into Greek, and then Hellenized the Scriptures
to remove the Hebraic Mindset:
Jeremiah 8:8
"'How can you say, "We are wise,
for we have The Law of Yahuah," when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?
2 Peter 3:16 – ESV
(The Apostle Sha’ul
speaks in a Mystery Language) as he does in all his letters when he
speaks in them of these (hidden) matters. There
are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant (of this Mystery Language) and unstable (in their minds being filled with the Spirit of Error)
twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.
These Greek pagans, with The Spirit of Error, do just that;
they err in all their understanding as they cannot comprehend the Word of Yahuah.
This is true today too. Yahuah makes all their higher human degrees of learning
into foolishness.
1 Corinthians 1
18 For
the message of The Yahushaic Covenant (that
Yahusha fulfilled The Law and Passover) is foolishness to those who are
perishing (by keeping Easter over Passover and whose
minds are not sealed by Yahuah), but to us who are being saved (by keeping Passover in light of Yahusha’s sacrifice 1
Corinthians 5)
it is the power of Yahuah. 19 For
it is written: “I will destroy the (literal) wisdom of the (so-called)
wise, And bring to nothing the (literal human)
understanding of the prudent.” 20 Where
is the (Spiritual) wise? Where is
the (true) scribe? Where is the disputer
of this age (true teacher)? Has not Yahuah made
foolish the (literal human) wisdom of this
world?
In my 30+ years serving Yahuah as a teacher, I have debated
many doctorates in Theology. I have debated Jewish Rabbis, Catholic Priests,
and Christian Theologians. Some of these men/women had achieved multiple
Theological and Eschatological degrees and even degrees in the Greek and Hebrew
languages. Not one of them demonstrated to me they truly understood the
Scriptures.
They bring to me these same passages of Scripture (sound
bite implied doctrines), and expect that I will simply lay down and
surrender to their Spirit of Error simply because they have human degrees from
human institutions.
They have shown themselves to be Spiritual fools as our
debates developed. In every case these “experts in Theology” leave the
debate, because they could not defend their beliefs. I overturned each and
every one of their “tickle your ears sound bite implied doctrines” with sound
doctrine and historical evidence of manipulation. You see, the gross
manipulation of Scripture is not taught in these Christian seminaries! These
seminaries teach the Word of Yahuah from a Hellenized Greek mindset, not
the Hebraic Mindset the Bible was written in. The result is generation
after generation of false teachers passing down the same Greek lies of
Hellenism:
Jeremiah 16:19
Yahuah, my Strength and my Fortress, my Refuge
in time of distress, to you the (Lost Sheep of the
House of Israel scattered among the) nations will come from the ends of
the Earth (just before Yahusha returns) and
say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things (false doctrines), false gods, in which there is no
profit (pertaining to Eternal life).
With all their human wisdom, Yahuah had brought their
understanding to nothing. NOTE: each one of them had elevated the Antichrist
Jesus Christ in their heart as God, with the exception the Jewish Rabbis, who
have been blinded (to the Spiritual meaning of Passover). They had been
given The Spirit of Error, and their minds perverted (given over to a
depraved mind) as Yahuah promised. They simply did not speak the Mystery
Language the Bible is written in, and did not understand the physical to
Spiritual parallels. They approach the Scriptures with a literal carnal mindset,
not the required Spiritual mindset.
The translators of the KJV Bible did not properly
translate that very important distinction. The translators adding “ho”
where Sha’ul simply said “nomos” making it appear, as though Sha’ul was
speaking against THE LAW of Yahuah, when he was speaking instead
against any general man-made law of the land or the Talmud which were human
commands.
To make matters even worse, when the translators added the
article “ho/the” to the text, they intentionally did not put the article “the”,
in italics like they were supposed to. Every word added to Scripture was
supposed to be indicated by italics. In this one case alone, where
they added “ho” to “nomos” and inserted the word “the” before “law” they did
not indicate the word “the” with italics. This was an intentional
act by the original translators to abolish The Law of Yahuah and commit the
Transgression of Desolation.
In this chapter, I am going to demonstrate the clear effects
of the “nomos” vs. “ho nomos” effect on the meaning of Sha’ul’s letters.
Romans chapter 3 verses 20 and 21 are a prime example of
twisting Scripture and bearing false witness against the Apostle Sha’ul (by
the Greek inspired Christian Church). In the verses below Sha’ul did not
use the article “the” where I underline it; “the” was added and not
indicated with italics in our English Bibles as it was supposed to, this
is intentional to do away with The Law:
Romans 3:20
20 Therefore
by the works of The (“the” was
added) Law (any law whatsoever) there
shall no flesh be justified in Yahuah’s sight: for by The Law (ho nomos) is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the Righteousness of Yahuah without The (“the” was
added) Law (any law whatsoever) is manifested (in The Law).
Christianity teaches based on these verses, that there is no
need to keep The Law of Yahuah; that Righteousness is somehow been manifested
outside of The Law of Yahuah. Yet that cannot be the proper interpretation of
that verse because in this same letter Sha’ul said:
Romans 2
13 for
not the hearers of The Law are just in the sight of God, but the doers
of The Law will be justified and declared Righteous.
Sha’ul only used the phrase “ho nomos” above, in Romans 3:20,
when he said “for by The Law is the knowledge of sin”. The other two places he
left out the article “the” and just said “nomos”.
Nomoß - Strong's Number: 3551
- anything established, anything received by usage, a
custom, a law, a command
- of any law whatsoever
|
What Sha’ul actually said is:
Romans 3:20
20 Therefore
by works of law (any law whatsoever, tradition,
human commands) there shall no flesh be justified in Yahuah’s sight: for
it is by THE LAW that we have knowledge of sin (Sha’ul
is explaining the function of The Law). 21 But now the Righteousness of Yahuah (The Law of Yahuah Romans 7:12) that
is separate from (human) law is revealed.
Romans 7:12
Therefore The Law is Holy, and the
Commandments are Holy, and Just, and Righteous.
What Sha’ul was saying above is that no human law, human
command, human tradition whatsoever (nomos) can deliver Eternal
life. Eternal life is a function of The Law of Yahuah (ho nomos) which
is Righteousness and Yahuah’s forgiving our sin against The Law. Eternal life
is not a function of a human law we could obey to justify us. Justification is
in the eyes of Yahuah and comes through obedience to The Law. The function of “The
Law” is to define Righteousness and point out our sin and through obedience to
it we are justified and found Righteous. That is a totally different message
than what our faulty translations tell us. In more than half of the passage in the NT where Sha’ul
speaks of “law” he does not use the article “the”. The phrase “works of law” is
vastly different than the phrase “works of The Law”. Let me put Romans 3, back
into context, (remember context is a wonderful thing) of the rest of the
book of Romans, and demonstrate the true meaning:
Romans 3
20 Therefore
by works of any human law or tradition whatsoever (nomos) there shall no flesh be justified in Yahuah’s
sight: (however it is) for by THE LAW of Yahuah
(ho nomos) that we have the knowledge of sin.
Romans 5
20 Moreover The Law (ho
nomos) entered (our hearts as Yahuah Promised) that the offense (of
transgressing it) might abound (in our mind creating a need in us for a
savior).
21 But
now the Righteousness of Yahuah without (any human)
law is revealed (in The Law of Yahuah, Romans 7:12). (Yahusha) being (the Messiah is) witnessed by The Law and the Prophets
(Sha’ul is stressing the value of The Law as it gives Yahusha
the authority to be The Messiah); 22 Even the Righteousness of Yahuah
which is by Faith in (The Law and the Prophets which
witness of) Yahusha the Messiah unto all and upon all them that believe
(that Yahusha was the fulfillment of the witness of The
Law and The Prophets): for there is no difference: 23 For all have
sinned, and come short of the Glory of Yahuah (requiring
the blood of the Lamb to cover that sin defined in The Law of Yahuah only);
24 Being justified freely by Yahuah’s Grace (covering
the death decrees in The Law with the blood of the Passover Lamb)
through the redemption that is in the blood of Yahusha the Messiah: 25 Whom Yahuah
hath set forth (in The Law not any human law)
to be a an appeasing sacrifice through Faith in his blood, to declare Yahusha’s
Righteousness in keeping The Law fully for the remission of our sins
that are past, through the forbearance of Yahuah who accepts Yahusha’s
obedience (to The Law) as if it were our own
(by covering the Death Decrees we are brought into
total compliance of The Law); 26 To declare, I say, at this time Yahusha’s
Righteousness (in keeping The Law): that Yahuah
might be just (in not issuing the final death decree
against us), and the justifier of him which believes in (covenant with) Yahusha. 27 Where is boasting then? It
is excluded (because Yahuah has accepted Yahusha’s
obedience to The Law in place of our own). By what (human) law (nomos)?
of (what) works (in
obedience to human commands that we have done
can we claim justification)? None: but by The Law of Faith (in the Passover Lamb our sin is covered and we are
justified by The Law). 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified
by Faith (that Yahusha fulfilled Yahuah’s Promise of a
Passover Lamb) without the words of any (human)
law whatsoever (nomos). 29 Is Yahuah the God of
the Jews (The House of Judah) only? is he not
also (the God) of the (Lost
Sheep of the House of Israel scattered among the) Gentiles? Yes, of the
Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God (Sha’ul
declares The Shema), which shall justify the circumcision by faith (in Yahusha as The Passover Lamb), and uncircumcision
through Faith (in Yahusha as The Passover Lamb).
31 Do we then abolish The Law (ho
nomos) through Faith? God forbid (the Passover
Lamb Promise is found in The Law, if you abolish The Law you abolish the
Promise of Salvation through the Passover Lamb with it). The Law
of Yahuah is not abolished through Faith, The Law (ho nomos) of Yahuah is established through Faith
(in Yahusha as we then walk as he walked in
obedience to The Law keeping Passover in Faith to keep the memory of his
sacrifice alive, 1 Corinthians 5).
Sha’ul goes on to teach in that same letter, that as we
first have Faith in the Passover Lamb Yahusha (whereby we are justified by Yahuah),
then begin to walk as he walked in Obedience to The Law of Yahuah; our Obedience
to The Law leads to Righteousness and Sanctification.
Romans
2:13 –
13For it is not
those who hear The Law (ho
nomos) who are Righteous in Yahuah's sight, but it is those who Obey The Law who will
be declared Righteous.
Romans 6:16
Do you not know
that to whom you present yourselves slaves to Obey, you are that one’s slaves
whom you Obey, whether of sin (not keeping The Law)
leading to death, or of Obedience (to The Law)
leading to Righteousness?
Romans 6:19
I am speaking in simple terms because of the frailty of your human nature. Just
as you once offered the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to greater
and greater disobedience (to The Law),
so now, in the same way, you must offer the parts of your body as slaves to Righteousness
(which is keeping The Law) that leads to
Sanctification.
What Sha’ul is teaching in Romans is this (when taken in
full context): We first have Faith (in The Law) that Yahusha was
the fulfillment of Passover. Expressing that Faith in Passover is the
equivalent of pouring the blood of the lamb over the Altar of our hearts, and Yahuah
accept that sacrifice of Yahusha and forgives our sin. That is a FREE GIFT. Then
we begin the process of Sanctification, which is a process of
becoming “holy” (set apart) by Yahuah through obedience to the Spiritual
Intent of His Law.
That process is a function of obedience to The Law of Yahuah
(not any human law, custom, or tradition); as we are filled with the Spirit of
loving obedience, and The Law is written on our hearts:
Ezekiel 36: 26, 27
I will give you a new heart (intent for My Law and write My Law on it, Jeremiah 31)
and put a new Spirit (of loving obedience with
knowledge of intent over letter) in you; I will remove from you your
heart of stone (legalistic observance of The Law by
the letter without love) and give you a heart of flesh (loving intent). And I will put My Spirit in you and
move you to follow (the loving intent of) My Decrees
and be careful to keep (the loving intent of) My
Laws.
The process of Sanctification through obedience to The
Law leads to Righteousness.
The issue of adding “the/ho” to “law/nomos” is just one
example of how mistranslating our English Bibles leads to confusion and false
doctrines. I highly recommend the reader immediately go out and purchase one of
the recent translations that recognize these translation errors. I use The
Book of Yahuah translation, so that I don’t have to constantly guard
against these misleading uninspired modern English Bibles that are complicit in
the Spirit of the Error.
Sha’ul’s attitude toward The Law is made crystal clear in
the book of Romans. It is only by taking sound bite after sound bit out of
context and twisting Scripture that it can be said of Sha’ul; that we don’t
have to keep The Law.
Below are clear statements made by Sha’ul in Romans
confirming The Law in The Yahushaic Covenant. Sha’ul says that
the doers of The Law will be justified, and those who break it will be judged. The
word that is translated below "without Law" here is, Strong’s
word #460, which means "not amenable to the Jewish/Mosaic Law".
(See Thayer’s and Strong's lexicon).
Romans 2:12
For as many as have sinned without law (nomos, manmade laws) will also perish without law (nomos; because only in The Law of Yahuah is Salvation
promised), and as many as have sinned under The Law (ho nomos) will be judged by The (death decrees in the) Law (because
they did not accept Yahusha’s Passover sacrifice and keep Passover) 13
for not the hearers of The Law (ho nomos) are
just in the sight of Yahuah, but the doers of The Law (ho
nomos) will be justified;
Sha’ul says that we know His will and approve the things
that are excellent when instructed out of The Law.
Romans 2:17
Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on The
Law, and make your boast in Yahuah, 18 and know [His] will, and approve the
things that are excellent, being instructed out of The Law, 19 and are
confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are
in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the (true) form of Knowledge and truth (which is found) in The Law.
Sha’ul says that when we break The Law, we dishonor Yahuah
and blaspheme His name.
Romans 2:21
You, therefore, who teach another (The Law), do you not teach (that
same Law of Yahuah to) yourself? You who preach that a man should not
steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, "Do not commit adultery," do you
commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your
boast in The Law, do you dishonor Yahuah through breaking The Law? 24 For
"the name of Yahuah is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,"
as it is written (in His Torah).
Sha’ul twice states that we learn what sin is from The Law.
This backs up the statement in 1 John 3:4 that Sin is transgression of The Law.
Again we see the effects of the “nomos vs ho nomos” lead to twisting of
Sha’ul’s words:
Romans 3:20
Therefore by the deeds of (human) law (nomos),
no flesh will be justified in His sight, for it is by The Law of Yahuah that
the knowledge of sin (is defined).
Romans 7:7
What shall we say then? [Is] The Law sin?
Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through (obedience to) The Law of Yahuah. For I would not have
known covetousness unless The Law had said, "You shall not covet."
Sha’ul believed that we do not make The Law void through
Faith, but rather we establish (Strong’s #2476: To cause or make to stand) The
Law.
Romans 3:31
Do we then make void The Law through faith?
Certainly not! On the contrary, we cause and make stand, we establish The Law (because Faith is defined as belief in the Promises made by
Yahuah, which are found in The Torah).
Here is another key Scripture, like the one above, proving
that Sha’ul did not believe that once we are under Grace, that we can continue
to sin (break The Law):
Romans 6:15
What then? Shall we sin (break The Law) because we are not under (the death decrees of the) Law, but under Grace (because the decrees have been covered by the blood of the
Lamb)? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present
yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of
sin (breaking The Law leading) to death, or of
obedience (to the letter of The Law leading) to
Righteousness (obedience to the Loving Intent of The
Law)?
Here Sha’ul is equating "The Law" with "the Commandment"
and stating his opinion of them:
Romans 7:12
Therefore The Law [is] Holy, and the Commandment
Holy and Just and Righteous.
Here is an unpopular statement of Sha’ul's. Many like to
believe that The Law is of the flesh and is enmity toward Yahuah. Sha’ul again
makes it clear that The Law is not the enmity… our sinful flesh is what is
hostile to Yahuah.
Romans 7:14
For we know that The Law is Spiritual, but I
am carnal, sold under sin.
Sha’ul delights in The Law of Yahuah
Romans 7:22
For I delight in The Law of Yahuah according
to the inward man.
The Apostle Sha’ul was a devout follower of the Torah. Speaking
of the Torah and Prophets (there was no New Testament when Sha’ul wrote this):
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of Yahuah,
and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in Righteousness,17 that the man of Yahuah may be complete, thoroughly equipped
for every good work.
Romans 8:6-7
For to be carnally (literal)
minded is death, but to be Spiritually minded (The Law
is Spiritual Romans, 7:14) is life and peace. Because the carnal (literal) mind (not The Law)
is enmity against Yahuah; for it is not subject to The Law of Yahuah, nor
indeed can be.
It should be obvious by now in this book that the Apostle Sha’ul
taught keeping The Law is the path to justification and Righteousness.
If we had qualified, truly anointed teachers today, I
shouldn’t have to go in, retranslate, and show the true meaning of the entire
New Testament writings of Sha’ul to demonstrate that the Greek appropriate Pauline
‘Christian’ Doctrine is a totally false doctrine. However, I am going to
do just that in this book series, because someone must correct the twisting of
Sha’ul’s writing.
The Apostle Sha’ul did not start a new religion. When each
of the sound bite implied doctrines of Christianity are brought into
context; Sha’ul can be brought into agreement with every other writer in
the New Testament. Sha’ul is also in agreement with Yahuah and Yahusha
concerning the role of The Law in our lives and within The Yahushaic
Covenant. It is only through twisting Sha’ul’s writings, sound biting them,
taking them out of context of his other writings, and “implying” what is false;
can The Pauline Doctrine be justified!
The purpose of this section was to quickly illustrate
that Sha’ul’s writings have been altered, twisted, words added and then mis-taught
by Christianity. The Christian Pauline ‘Doctrine’ is false, and ‘NOT’ what the
Apostle Sha’ul taught or believed. Again, he was a Nazarene!
The purpose of this chapter is to try and help define The
Law as it has been transposed to Spiritual Intent. Let’s get back to the main
idea of this chapter so that this book stays on point, and does not become so
large and complex that the reader (and the writer) loses focus.
These are keys to understanding Sha’ul’s writings, and each
of us should do our own independent study with these keys in mind.
·
Sha’ul
confronted Rabbinical Judaism just like Yahusha.
·
Both
Sha’ul and Yahusha confronted Rabbinical Law called Takkanots as the
Jews were following the 6,200 page Talmud, full of human commands and
traditions of men.
·
Sha’ul
used, “ho nomos” for The Law and “nomos” for the “law of the land”, which was the
Talmud.
·
Both
Yahusha and Sha’ul were Notsris or Nazarenes. Which, by definition, mean they
protected the Torah of Yahuah and defended it against the Babylonian Talmud.
·
The
fact is that Sha’ul, like Yahusha, taught the transposition of The Law and
spoke in the Mystery Language that few in his day, and even fewer still today,
understand.
I would like to point out, in Romans, another place where
the translators added words in order to justify The Spirit of Error (the
abolishment of The Law).
Below is a portion of Scripture used by the Christian Church
to teach that we are not bound to, nor do we need to, keep The Sabbath and
Dietary Laws:
Romans 14
5 One
person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike.
Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6
He who observes the day, observes it to Yahuah; and he who does not
observe the day, to Yahuah he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to
the Yahuah, for he gives Yahuah thanks; and he who does not eat, to Yahuah he
does not eat, and gives Yahuah thanks.
This verse is taught in Christian circles this way:
Romans 14
5 One
person esteems one day (the 7th Day)
above another; another esteems every day (of the week)
alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the (Sabbath)
day, observes it to Yahuah; and he who does not observe the (Sabbath) day, to Yahuah he does not observe it.
He who eats (Kosher), eats to Yahuah, for he
gives Yahuah thanks; and he who does not eat (Kosher),
to Yahuah he does not eat, and gives Yahuah thanks.
We are taught that Sha’ul is saying that the Sabbath and
Dietary Laws are not binding. If we choose to be bound by them, that is OK, and
if we choose to transgress them, that too, is OK. Sha’ul does not have the
authority to legislate such a ridiculous “law”, and he did no such thing.
The problem is that in verse 6, above, the phrase “and he who does not observe the day, to Yahuah he does
not observe it.” was not in the original Greek Codex
Vadicanus. But we are conveniently never told this important fact, because
the false religion teaches us to sin against Yahuah. Some translations are true
to the text and leave those added words out:
Romans 14:5-6
English Standard Version (ESV)
5 One
person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days
alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 The one who observes the day, observes it in
honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives
thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and
gives thanks to God.
Now we are coming closer to what Sha’ul actually said. In
the above texts, Sha’ul is talking about feast days, not The
Sabbath. Below is, in context, what Sha’ul is saying; leaving out the
unscriptural words added by uninspired translators.
Sha’ul is specifically addressing the age old debate
concerning The Day of Atonement being more Holy than the rest of the Feast days.
Some teach that it is commanded that we fast on Yom Kippur (The Day of
Atonement). It is a “tradition” not to eat, not a Commandment that we
“fast” on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). The Commandment is that we are
to afflict our souls on that day which does not mean “fast from food”, that is by
tradition interpreted as fasting. So some people fast and some do not
depending on how you interpret “afflict your soul”. Below is what Sha’ul is
talking about in context:
Romans 14:5-6
5 One
person esteems one (Feast) day as better than
another (some believe Yom Kippur is THE most Holy of
all Holy Days), while another esteems all (Feast)
days alike (as they are rehearsals of The Plan of
Salvation). Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind (and not doubt his position because doubt is sin).
6 The one who observes the day (of Atonement as the MOST Holy Day), observes it in
honor of Yahuah. The one who eats (on the Day of
Atonement), eats in honor of Yahuah, since he gives thanks to Yahuah (in keeping the Day of Atonement), while the one who abstains
(fasts on The Day of Atonement), abstains in
honor of Yahuah and gives thanks to Yahuah (on the Day
of Atonement).
Sha’ul is not taking sides on the issue either way, he is
just saying whatever your position is, be firm in it and don’t waver back and
forth. Everyone who keeps the Festivals of Yahuah is Righteous, as they keep
them in honor of Yahuah. Most of the “do’s and don’ts” associated
with the Festivals are not Commanded in the Torah, they are traditions of
men found in The Talmud. Again, Sha’ul is confronting the Rabbinical System
of Takkanots.
Colossians is another place where Christianity has
twisted the words of Sha’ul.
Colossians 2 - Freedom
From Human Rules
16 Therefore
do not let anyone (the pagans in Colossae all around
you) judge you by what you eat or drink (as you
keep the Dietary Laws for good health), or with regard to (your keeping) the Festivals of Yahuah, a New Month
celebration (as you keep Yahuah’s calendar not the
pagan lunar calendar) or a Sabbath day (as you
rest on The Sabbath and not on Dias Solis the pagan day of worship).
17 (You do)
These (things as they) are a shadow (cast by Spiritual Truth) of the (good) things that were to come (they are Moedim or Rehearsals); the reality (in Spirit), however, is found in The Yahushaic
Covenant (they teach us through physical to Spiritual
rehearsals of the work of Salvation and point us to Yahusha who fulfills them).
This is a very important Scripture here. Christianity teaches that Sha’ul is
saying “let no one (Jew) judge you for violating The Law and not keeping
The Sabbaths and Holy Days of Yahuah” and that is the exact opposite
of what Sha’ul is teaching here. According to The Christian Church, Jews
were spying on Sha’ul and following him all over Asia Minor, trying to
“convert” pagans to Judaism. This is absurd, totally contrary to fact and
Biblical witness.
We see Sha’ul teaching the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel scattered among
the pagans to keep the Feasts on multiple occasions, and
specifically teaching them to keep Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread
below:
1 Corinthians 5
Don’t you know that
a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a
new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Yahusha, our Passover lamb,
has been sacrificed (on Passover not Good Friday).
8 Therefore let us keep the Festival of
Unleavened Bread, not with the old bread leavened with malice and
wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Sha’ul taught them to keep the Feast in light of Yahusha and in the
transposed Spiritual Intent. So it was Sha’ul who was teaching the
Colossians and all those assemblies he established to keep the Feasts. It was
the pagans in those pagan communities condemning them for it. Jews were
nowhere to be found among those pagan communities, as they do not now and never
have proselytized ANYONE especially what they considered “Gentiles”.
The situation in these pagan provinces where Sha’ul established fellowships,
is exactly the same state you and I are in today. We are condemned by the same
exact establishment, Babylon and its rituals (Christmas,
Sunday, Good Friday, Easter, etc.) when we become obedient to Yahuah and
His rituals.
They (Christianity) are quick to shout “LEGALISM!” and condemn us for
our obedience to Yahuah, and accuse us of trying to “work our way to heaven”.
It is funny to me, because all these Christians have done is traded in Yahuah’s
Law and rituals for Babylon’s. They are strict legalist toward their
keeping of the pagan rituals of Christmas, Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter. They,
all of Christianity, are hypocrites in this way. They say “thou shalt not
judge” and yet they are the most self-righteous judgmental group on Earth. It
is sad the Earth lies in this deception. It is even sadder still that few stand
up to it. If we are not to be “legalistic”, then why do they push the
ritualistic keeping of Christmas instead of Succoth, and Easter instead of
Passover, and Sunday instead of The Sabbath Day? They are just as legalistic,
just for the WRONG Laws.
The Jews condemned Sha’ul for reaching out and teaching the pagans to keep
Torah, because they did not understand The House of Israel was living among the
Gentiles. Even the other disciples had a hard time accepting Sha’ul as one of
them, because Sha’ul went out to the pagans and taught the Torah in light of The
Messiah Yahusha. The Jews could care less about the pagans and certainly would
never go following behind Sha’ul in his journeys.
The Jews, in their Talmud, believe they could not even
come into contact, nor could they eat with Gentiles. So how could they be the
ones “judging them” from such a distance. The entire thing is… well ridiculous.
It was actually the pagan Greeks (Christians) who were rebelling
against The Law of Yahuah, who hated The Jews and twisted the Scriptures; then
blamed the entire thing on the Jews!
The Jews were very jealous of their God and did not, and still do not,
try and evangelize anyone outside of the bloodline of Abraham/Isaac/Jacob. There
simply were no “Judaisers” running around behind Sha’ul in these pagan
provinces of Rome. Moreover, Sha’ul was speaking to previous uncircumcised
pagans here, who never knew about nor kept The Law (Kosher eating, New Moon
celebrations, Feasts of Yahuah, and Sabbaths). The reason Sha’ul mentions
these things in his letter to these past pagans is because Sha’ul has been
there and taught them to KEEP these things. The pagan community around them
in Colossae (a pagan province of Rome) were judging them for eating
Kosher (by what they ate and drank), and with the regards to their
keeping Yahuah’s Feasts, Sabbaths, and New Month (Season) celebrations not the
Jews.
You see, these new converts stopped keeping Babylon’s rituals of Christmas,
Sunday, Good Friday, Easter, eating pork, etc. as every one of those holidays
was passed down with sun worship in Babylon to Rome. Not keeping the pagan
rituals, they came under fire from their neighbors, not the Jews. You too will
come under intense judgment by the pagan establishment (Christianity which
is based on Babylonian rituals/gods) when you cease keeping Babylon’s rituals and come into obedience to Yahuah’s Feasts/Torah/Sabbaths. Colossians
will have a whole new meaning in your life, as we too have been scattered among
the pagan nations and are being judged by our Christian friends, family, and
neighbors for keeping The Law of Yahuah.
The concept called Grace as unmerited favor of Yahuah
is clearly defined in Scripture. Yahuah Promised a Passover Lamb whose blood
would cover the death decrees in The Law; which is a free gift (unmerited
favor) toward those who have Faith that Yahusha was the fulfillment of that
Promise.
Since Grace is the forgiveness of sin, in this way, it cannot
exist outside of The Law of Yahuah. Where there is no Law there is no sin. Where
there is no sin the concept of Grace does not exist. For Grace to exist:
1. we
must be “under The Law” that exposes our sin
2. we
must be Faithful to repent of that sin
3. then
the blood of Yahusha covers the death decrees found within The Law
4. and
finally we are freed from our fear of death.
We are not freed form keeping The Law of Yahuah; we are
freed from the penalty of death. We no longer live in fear of death, but in
newness of life, and have a new Spirit that teaches us how to obey His Law in
love.
This new Spirit inside us, replaced the “heart of stone” (legalistic
observance to the letter of The Law) that was enmity toward The Law because
we feared the death decrees; with a soft loving heart “of flesh”. We are given
the Spirit of Holiness (or Spirit that makes us Holy), which teaches us
to obey The Law of Yahuah out of love as we cry out “Abba Father”. The Apostle Sha’ul
dealt with the concept of Grace and the role of The Law to identify sin in the
Book of Romans. The uninspired modern English Hellenized Greek
appropriate translations, have mistranslated and twisted the words in all books
in the Bible. They did so to abolish The Law so that they would not have to
keep it. They did so in their “god” Jesus H. Christ who is called The Lawless
One.
Next, I am going to provide the proper in context
translation of chapters 5-8, in the Book of Romans; to demonstrate exactly what
Sha’ul actually said in context of Grace and The Law. I already covered the
first part of Romans. Let me begin with Romans Chapter 5, and correct all the
mistranslations, remove the added words, and put it is context of all Sha’ul’s
writing.
Romans 5 - Results of
Justification
5 Therefore, having been justified by Faith
(in and keeping Passover in light of Yahusha’s
sacrifice), we have peace with Yahuah
through our King Yahusha the Messiah, 2 through whom (in
covenant with) also we have obtained our introduction by Faith into this
grace in which we stand (we have been brought into
compliance to The Law by Yahusha’s obedience and Yahuah covering the death
decrees against us); and we exult in hope (our
resurrection) of the Glory of Yahuah (that we
are His Children). 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our
tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and
perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not
disappoint, because the love of Yahuah (is defined as
keeping The Law, 1 John 5:3)
1 John 5:3
In fact, this is love for
Yahuah: to keep His Commands. And his Commands are not burdensome
has been poured out within our hearts (The Law written on our hearts, Hebrews 10:6)
through the Holy Spirit who was given to us (through
Mikveh, a loving soft heart toward His Law, Ezekiel 36:27).
Ezekiel 36:27
22 “Therefore
say to the House of Israel, ‘Thus says Yahuah your God, “It is not for your
sake, O House of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My Holy Name Yahuah,
which you have profaned among the nations where you went. 23 I will
vindicate the Holiness of My Great Name Yahuah which has been profaned among
the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know
that I am Yahuah,” declares the Yahuah your Elohim, “when I prove Myself Holy
among you in their sight. 24 For I will
take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into
your own land. 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you (Mikveh), and you
will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your
idols (with Living Water). 26 Moreover, I
will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you; and I will remove
the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.
27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My
Commandments, and you will be careful to observe My Law.
6 For while we were still helpless (lost among the nations), at the right time Yahusha
died for the ungodly (those who do not keep The Law).
7 For one will hardly die for a Righteous man; though perhaps for the good man
someone would dare even to die. 8 But Yahuah demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were yet sinners (Law breakers, 1
John 3:4),
1 John 3:4 – New Living Translation
Everyone who sins is
breaking God's Law, for all sin is contrary to The Law of God.
Yahusha died for us (to bring us into full compliance to The Law). 9 Much
more then, having now been justified (in the eyes of The
Law) by His blood (covering the death decrees
against us for sin), we shall be saved from the wrath of Yahuah (death by decree) through (by
being in covenant with) Yahusha. 10 For
if while we were enemies (with Yahuah and hated The
Law of Yahuah, Romans 8:7)
Romans 8:7
The mind governed by the
flesh is hostile to Yahuah; it does not submit to The Law of Yahuah, nor can it
do so.
we were reconciled to Yahuah through the
death of His Son Yahusha, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved
by Yahusha’s life (Example. We must walk as he walked,
as he was perfected in obedience to The Law, Romans 3:25, and by Grace
through Faith his obedient example, we too our found rRghteous through Mikveh, Circumcision,
and Offering. Because Yahusha obeyed the Will of Yahuah and fulfilled his end
of the covenant made in Zechariah Chapter 3, Yahuah then forgives our sin).
Romans 3
25
Whom Yahuah hath set forth (Yahusha) to be an appeasing sacrifice through faith
in his blood (by keeping Passover), to declare Yahusha’s Righteousness in
keeping The Law fully for the remission of our sins that are past, through
the forbearance of Yahuah who accepts Yahusha’s obedience (to The Law) as if
it were our own (IF we too, walk in obedience out of a loving heart)
11 And not only this, but we also exult in Yahuah
through our King Messiah Yahusha, through whom (in
covenant with) we have now received the reconciliation (back to Yahuah as His Adopted Children).
12 Therefore, just as through
one man sin (sin is disobedience
to The Law, 1 John 3:4) entered the world (Adam disobeyed YAHUAH’s Commands bringing sin into the world),
and death through sin (The Law of Sin and You Die),
and thus death spread to all men (as
Death is the penalty of sin which is breaking The Law. Original Sin,
another false doctrine, death did not spread to all men, genetic DEATH did),
because all man sinned (and therefore die for their
own sin, not because they are born with Original Sin, The Law clearly states
that no man is to be punished for another’s sin including Adam’s)
13 To be
sure, sin (breaking The Law) was in the world
before the (written) Law was given (to Moses), but sin (breaking
The Law) is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no
Law. (so the fact that sin was in the world before
the written Law is proof The Holy Law existed all the way back to Adam)
NOTE: Keep all of Sha’ul’s
writings in context; Sha’ul is proving that because there was transgression at
the time of Adam therefore The Law existed. Because if The Law did not exist,
neither would transgressions and death could not reign:
Romans 4:15
15 Because The Law worketh
wrath (death for disobedience): for where no Law is, there is no transgression.
(so Sha’ul is saying there must have been The Law at the time
of Adam because there was transgression…) 14 Nevertheless (now Sha’ul
says death is the proof of The Law), death reigned from the
time of Adam to the time of Moses, (and
DEATH is the penalty of “sin” or breaking The Law. So transgression and death
is PROOF The Law existed from Adam to Moses) even over those who did not
sin by breaking a Command, as did Adam (The Law was a
lot more complex than anyone knew because people were dying for all types of
sin not just “eating the apple”) 15 But the free gift is not like the
transgression. For if by the transgression of the one man many died,
much more did the Grace of Yahuah and the gift by the Grace of the one man,
Yahusha the Messiah, abound to the many (it took a
human High Priest to overturn Adam’s sin, not a god). 16 The gift is not
like that which came through the one man who sinned; for on the
one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation, but
on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in
justification. 17 For if by the transgression of the one man,
death reigned (death is passed on not Original Sin)
through the one man, much more those who receive the abundance of
Grace and of the gift of Righteousness will reign in life through the one man,
Yahusha the Messiah. (Sha’ul is stressing that it took
a fully human man to live it obedience to The Law and die innocent to break The
Law of Sin and Death. Yahusha HAD TO BE human not god to accomplish and reverse
the curse of Adam) 18 So then as through one man’s
transgression (of The Law) there resulted
condemnation to all men (to death genetically),
even so through one man’s act of (living
a) Righteousness (life) there resulted
justification of (Eternal) life to all men (who enter into The Yahushaic Covenant and keep The Law). 19
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made
sinners, even so through the obedience of the one man the many
will be made Righteous. 20 The (written) Law
came in so that the (Knowledge of)
transgression would increase; but where (Knowledge of)
sin increased, Grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death
(in our genetic code), even so Grace (forgiveness of the death decrees) would reign through
Righteousness (our obedience to The Law) to (deliver) Eternal life through (in covenant with) Yahusha the Messiah. (it took one human being to live in obedience to The Law of
Yahuah and die because of the curse of Adam to break that curse)
Romans 6 – Believers Are Dead to
living in disobedience to The Law, Alive to living in obedience to The Law of
Yahuah 6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin (disobedient to The Law) so that Grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we
who died to sin (disobedience to The Law) still
live in it (disobedience to The Law
1 John 2)?
1 John 2
3 By this we
know that we have come to know Yahuah, if we keep His Commandments. 4 The
one who says, “I have come to know Yahuah,” and does not keep His Commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but
whoever keeps His Word (obeys The Law of Yahuah), in him the love of Yahuah has
truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in (covenant with) Yahuah:
6 the one who says he abides in (enters into
covenant with) Him (Yahusha) ought himself to walk in the same manner as he
walked (in Obedience to The Law of Yahuah).
3 Or do
you not know that all of us who have been washed clean with Living Water (Mikveh’d) into (covenant
with) Yahusha the Messiah have been Mikveh’d into his death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with him through Mikveh
into death, so that as Yahusha was raised from the dead through the Glory of
the Father (Yahuah is the Savior whose raised Yahusha
from the grave), so we too might walk in newness of life (in Obedience to the Intent of The Law, by renewing our minds
daily).
Romans 12
2 Do not conform to the
pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (through
His Law). Then you will be able to test and approve what Yahuah’s will is--his
good, pleasing and perfect will.
Ephesians 4
…22 You were taught to put
off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its
deceitful desires; 23 to be renewed in the Spirit of your minds; 24 and to put
on the new self, created to be like Yahuah in true Righteousness and Holiness.…
5 For if
we have become united with Yahusha in the likeness of his death, certainly we
shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self (that was hostile toward The Law of Yahuah) was
crucified with Yahusha, in order that our body of sin (disobedience to The Law) might be done away with, so
that we would no longer be slaves to sin (breaking The
Law); 7 for he who has died (to a life of breaking The Law of Yahuah) is freed
from sin (by the renewing of our minds in Obedience to
The Law of Yahuah in covenant with Yahusha).
8 Now if
we have died with Yahusha (entered into The Yahushaic Covenant),
we believe that we shall also live (in Obedience to the
intent of The Law) with him, 9 knowing
that Yahusha, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no
longer is master over Yahusha (because he broke the
power of death in the body by living in Obedience to The Law of Yahuah).
10 For the death that Yahusha died, he died to
(cover) sin once for all (time, Yahusha is the Eternal High Priest, Hebrews 6:20); but the life that Yahusha
lives, he lives to Yahuah. 11 Even so
consider yourselves to be dead to sin (breaking The
Law), but alive to Yahuah in (following the
example of) Yahusha the Messiah (who kept the Intent
of The Law).
12 Therefore
do not let sin (disobedience to The Law) reign
(habitually) in your mortal body so that you
obey its lusts, 13 and do not go on
presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of
unrighteousness (disobedience to The Law); but
present yourselves to Yahuah as those alive from the dead (works, Hebrews 6:1), and your members as
instruments of Righteousness to Yahuah (through
good works of The Law, Faith without works is dead, James 2:14-26).
James 2:14-26
18 But
someone will say, “You have Faith, and I have works.” Show me your Faith
without your works, and I will show you my Faith by my works. 19 You
believe that there is One God. You do well. Even the demons
believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man,
that Faith without works is dead? 21 Was not
Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the
altar? 22 Do you see that Faith was working together with his
works, and by works Faith was made perfect? 23 And
the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed Yahuah,
and it was accounted to him for Righteousness.”[d] And he
was called the friend of Yahuah. 24 You see then that a
man is justified by works, and not by Faith only.
14 For sin
shall not be master over you (denying you Eternal life),
for you are not under (the death decrees in The)
Law but under Grace (the Blood of the Passover Lamb
has covered the death decrees).
15 What
then? Shall we sin (break The Law) because we
are not under (the death decrees in The) Law
but under grace? May it never be! 16 Do
you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for
obedience (to The Law), you are slaves of the
one whom you obey (Yahuah), either of sin (outside of The Yahushaic Covenant) resulting in death
(by decree), or of obedience (to the Intent of The Law within
The Yahushaic Covenant) resulting in Righteousness (complete Obedience to The Law in Yahuah’s eyes through
Mikveh, Circumcision, and Offering)? 17 But
thanks be to Yahuah that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient (to the Intent of The Law of Yahuah in covenant with Yahusha)
from the heart (where The Law has been written)
to that form of (Yahusha’s) teaching (of obedience at the level of ‘Intent’ which trumps the
letter) to which you were committed (when you
were baptized into covenant with him), 18 and
having been freed from (the penalty of) sin (the death decrees), you became slaves of Righteousness
(committed to keeping The Law of Yahuah in love).
19 I am speaking in human (literal) terms (using
physical examples to illustrate a Spiritual truth) because of the
weakness of your flesh (which weakens The Law. Romans
8:3).
Romans 8:3
For what The Law was
powerless to do (deliver Eternal life) because it was weakened by the flesh,
Yahuah did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh (a human
being) to be a (human) sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh (by
dying an innocent man and breaking the curse of Adam)
For just as you presented
your members as slaves to impurity and to Lawlessness, resulting
in further Lawlessness, so now present your members as
slaves to Righteousness (Obedience to the Intent of The
Law), resulting in Sanctification (we are sanctified i.e. set apart and made Holy by keeping The Law of Yahuah).
20 For
when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to Righteousness (didn’t have to worry about or try to obey His Law).
21 Therefore what benefit were you then
deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those
things (Lawlessness) is death (by decree because you are still judged by The Law weather
you keep it or not). 22 But now
having been freed from sin (breaking The Law)
and enslaved to Yahuah (committed to keep His Law),
you derive your benefit, resulting in Sanctification, and the outcome, Eternal
life. 23 For the wages of sin
is death (by decree), but the free gift of Yahuah
(death decrees covered by the blood of the Passover
Lamb) is Eternal life in (covenant with)
Messiah Yahusha our King.
Romans 7 - Believers to be in The
Yahushaic Covenant
7 Or do you not know,
brethren (for I am speaking to those who know The Law), that The Law has
jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives? 2 For the married woman
is bound by Law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she
is released from The Law concerning the husband. 3 So then, if while her
husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an
adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from The Law, so that she is
not an adulteress though she is joined to another man (Sha’ul is teaching The
Law).
4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were
made to die (buried in baptism, Colossians 2:12 and
Romans 6:4) to the (death decrees in the)
Law through the body of Messiah (in covenant with Yahusha),
Colossians 2
12 having
been buried with him in baptism (made to die by transgressing The Law), in which
you were also raised up with him (to a new life of keeping The Law) through Faith
in the working of Yahuah, who raised Yahusha from the dead. 13 When
you were dead in your transgressions (against The Law) and the uncircumcision
of your flesh, Yahuah made you alive (to The Law) together with Yahusha, having
forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having
canceled out the ‘certificate of debt’ consisting of death decrees
against us
so that you might be joined to another (as the Bride of the Messiah), to Yahusha (in marriage covenant) who was raised from the dead,
in order that we might bear fruit (good works of The
Law, James 2:18) for Yahuah.
5 For while we were in the flesh (which is hostile to The
Law, Romans 8:7), the sinful passions, which were aroused
by The Law (The Law points out our sin, Romans
7:7), were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for
death (Faith without works of The Law is dead fruit).
6 But now we have been released from the (death
decrees in the) Law, having died to that by which we were bound (disobedience to The Law), so that we serve in newness
of the Spirit (ual Intent of The Law) and not
in oldness of the letter (of The Law which is active
decrees outside of the Blood of the Lamb).
7 What shall we say then? Is The Law
sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know
sin except through The Law (that is why we keep The
Law); for I would not have known about coveting if The Law had not said,
“You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, taking opportunity through the Commandment,
produced in me coveting of every kind (because flesh
is hostile to The Law); for apart from The Law sin is dead (where there is no Law there is no sin). 9 I was once
alive (in the flesh to
sin) apart from The Law (which leads to death
both physically and Spiritually); but when the Commandment came (and I began keeping The Law), sin (within me) became (Spiritually)
alive (to me, I was able to recognize sin) and
I (my carnal man) died (Spiritually); 10 and this Commandment, which was to result in life
(but was weakened because of my flesh), proved
to result in death for me (Spiritually separated me
from Yahuah); 11 for sin, taking an opportunity through the Commandment
(to separate me from Yahuah because my flesh is weak),
deceived me (to have enmity toward and rebel against The
Law) and through it (my rebellion)
killed me (by decree, the ‘Certificate of Debt’
had to be paid, Colossians 2). 12 So then (I became aware of my need for a sin offering and I believed
in Yahusha the Passover Lamb), The Law (therefore)
is Holy (leading me to the Messiah in Faith),
and the Commandment is Holy and Righteous and good (bringing
me into The Yahushaic Covenant, 2 Timothy
3:16).
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture (Sha’ul is
referring to the Torah/Prophets, the NT did not exist) is inspired by Yahuah
and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in Righteousness;
13 Therefore did that which is good (The Law) become a cause of death for me? May it
never be! Rather it was sin (that weakened The
Law because of my disobedience), in order that it might be shown to be
sin by effecting my (carnal minded) death
through that which is good (renewing my mind daily
with His Torah, Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 4:23),
so that through the (renewing my mind in keeping His)
Commandment, sin would become utterly sinful (to me
and I would be convicted to turn from it).
The Conflict of Two Natures –
the battle between sinful flesh and the mind set on the Spiritual Law of Yahuah
14 For we know that The Law is Spiritual
(defines Righteous Intent), but I am of flesh, sold into
bondage to sin. 15 For what I am doing (breaking The
Law of Yahuah), I do not understand (why I do
it); for I am not practicing what I would like to do (keeping The Law), but I am doing the very thing I
hate (breaking The Law). 16 But if I do the
very thing I do not want to do (break The Law),
I agree with The Law (that I deserve to die by the
decrees), confessing that The Law is good (admitting
I am a sinner and have a need for a sin offering). 17 So now, no longer
am I the one doing it (my “Intent” is Righteous, I now
hate that sin), but sin which dwells in me (as
my flesh is a slave to its carnal desires). 18 For I know that nothing
good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me (my Intent is Righteous, in my Spirit I have a heart for The
Law), but the doing of the good is not (I have
trouble keeping the letter of The Law completely). 19 For the good that
I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if
I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but
sin which dwells in me (Sha’ul is teaching the ‘Intent
vs. the Letter’, Yahuah judges the ‘Intent’ of
our hearts, not the act by the letter)
21 I find then the principle that evil is
present in me, the One who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully concur
with The Law of Yahuah in the inner man (my
‘Intent’ is to keep The Law, and The Law is written on my heart), 23 but I see a different (carnal)
law in the members of my body, waging war against The Law of my mind (Intent) and making me a prisoner of The Law of sin (and you die by decree) which is in my members. 24
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25
Thanks be to Yahuah through (in covenant with) Yahusha
the Messiah our King! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind, am
serving The Law of Yahuah (INTENT, this is
what Yahuah judges, NOT the letter), but on the other, with my flesh
The Law of sin (against the letter of His Law, but in covenant with Yahusha, his life of total Obedience to
The Law is our own and we are made Righteous through the blood of the Passover
Lamb, Romans 3:25).
Sha’ul continues to address this battle between renewing our
minds (with the ‘Intent’ to obey The Law) and our flesh enslaved to sin.
Romans 8
1 Now there is no
condemnation for those in The Yahushaic Covenant. 2 For The Law of the Spirit of (Holiness
that leads to Eternal) Life (which is The Law
with the death decrees covered by the blood of the Passover Lamb) in (covenant with) Yahusha the Messiah has made me free
from The Law of Sin and Death (which is the Letter of
The Law with active death decrees outside of The Yahushaic Covenant). 3 For what (the letter of) The
Law could not do (bring Eternal Life as Promised)
because The Law was made weak by our flesh (because we
broke the letter of The Law and the decrees in The Law condemned us to death
for disobedience), Yahuah did (provided Eternal
Life as a free gift to those who try to keep the INTENT of The Law in covenant
with Yahusha and fail i.e. Grace) by sending His own Son in the likeness
of sinful flesh (as a man), on account of sin (to defeat it by living obedient to The Law and dying
innocent thereby breaking the curse of Adam): Yahusha condemned sin in
the flesh (making The Law whole by fulfilling the Promise
in The Law of Eternal Life for Obedience to the ‘Intent’… Matthew 5:17),
4 that the Righteous requirement of The Law
might be fulfilled in us (through Mikveh, Ezekiel
36:25) who do not walk according to the flesh (disobedient to The Law) but according to the Spirit (ual Intent and loving Obedience to The Law).
Ezekiel 36: 25, 27 – Walking according to the
New Spirit
25 I will sprinkle clean living
water on you (Mikveh), and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your
impurities and from all your idols (through Mikveh). 26 I will give you a new
heart (for My Law and write My Law on it) and put a New Spirit (of loving
obedience) in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone
(legalistic observance of The Law out of fear of death) and give you a heart of
flesh. And I will put My Spirit in you and move you to follow My Decrees
and be careful to keep My Laws.
5 For
those who live according to the flesh (which is
hostile to The Law of Yahuah) set their minds on the things of the flesh
(and abolish The Law of Yahuah), but those who
live according to the Spirit (of loving obedience
to The Law), the things of the Spirit (The Law
is Spiritual). 6 For to be
carnally minded is death (you’ll be judged by
the decrees in The Law), but to be Spiritually minded is life and
peace (as in loving Obedience to The Law the decrees
against you are covered by the blood of the Lamb). 7 Because the
carnal mind is hatred against Yahuah; for it is not subject to The Law
of Yahuah, nor indeed can be.
8 So then, those who are in the flesh
cannot please Yahuah (because they hate The Law of Yahuah
and abolished it in their hearts).
Romans 2:13
For it is not those who hear The Law who are Righteous in Yahuah's sight, but
it is those who obey The Law who will be declared Righteous.
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in
the Spirit (you obey the Intent of The Law and it is
not a burden, you obey out of love … 1 John 5:3),
1 John 5:3
In fact, this is love for
Yahuah: to keep His Commands. And His Commands are not burdensome (we keep them
out of love not obligation or fear of death)
if indeed the Spirit of Yahuah dwells in
you (teaching you the Spiritual Law by Intent).
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of the Messiah (who
taught that ‘intent’ trumps letter), he does not belong to Yahuah. 10 If
Messiah is in you (you are in The Yahushaic Covenant),
though the (physical) body is dead (genetically) because of sin (the
curse of Adam), yet the Spiritual body is alive because of Righteousness
(keeping the Intent of The Law).
1 Corinthians 15
42 So also is
the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable physical body, it
is raised an imperishable Spiritual body; 43 it
is sown in dishonor, it is raised in Glory; it is sown in weakness, it is
raised in Power; 44 it is sown a
natural body, it is raised a Spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there
is also a Spiritual body. 45 So
also it is written, “The first man,
Adam, became
a living soul.” The last Adam (the man Yahusha) became
a life-giving Spirit. 46 However, the Spiritual
is not first, but the natural; then the Spiritual. 47 The
first man is from the Earth, Earthly; the second man is from heaven. 48 As is the Earthly, so also are those who are Earthly;
and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the Earthly,
we will also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now
I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit The Kingdom of
Yahuah; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
11 But if the Spirit of Yahuah who raised Yahusha
from the dead dwells in you (The Spirit of Holiness, Romans
1:4),
Romans 1:4
and who through the Spirit
of Holiness was appointed the Son of God in Power by his resurrection from the
dead: Yahusha the Messiah our King.
Yahuah who raised Yahusha the Messiah from
the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies (to
teach you to keep His Law, Ezekiel 36:27) through His
Spirit who (fully) dwells in you (after you are Mikveh’d clean, then The Spirit (Fire) is
poured out in you in bodily form, Ephesians 3:19).
12 So then, brethren, we are under
obligation, not to the flesh (to break The Law),
to live according to the flesh (which is hostile to Yahuah)—
13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die (by the death decrees in The Law); but if by the
Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body (stop
breaking The Law), you will live. 14 For all who are being
led by the Spirit of Yahuah (which teaches us to keep the
Intent of The Law, Ezekiel 36:27),
these are sons of Yahuah. 15 For you have not received a Spirit of slavery (to the Letter of The Law) leading to fear (of death) again, but you have received a Spirit of
adoption (we are in an adoption covenant with Yahuah,
as children in Law being wed to Yahusha, His son) as sons by which we
cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our Spirit
that we are children of Yahuah (through Marriage and Resurrection),
17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of Yahuah and fellow heirs with Yahusha
(our elder brother), if indeed we suffer with Yahusha so that we may also be Glorified
with him (through resurrection).
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this
present time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory that is to be
revealed to us (as Children of Yahuah). 19 For
the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the Sons
of Yahuah. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility (when Adam fell), not willingly, but because of Yahuah
Who subjected it in Hope (of a coming Messiah);
21 because the
creation itself also
(like the Sons of Yahuah during the Spring Feasts) will be delivered (in the coming Fall Feasts) from the bondage of
corruption into the Glorious Liberty of the Children of Yahuah (on the DAY
OF ATONEMENT). 22 For we know that the
whole creation groans and labors (for 6,000 years per
the Sabbath Covenant) with birth pangs together until now (the 7th Millennium, the Sabbath). 23 Not
only that, but we also who have the Firstfruits (Spring Feasts) of the Spirit (represented
by the the Feast of Weeks, the guarantee), even we ourselves groan
within ourselves (along with creation because we have
not yet been resurrected and delivered), eagerly waiting for the adoption
(as Elohim, into the Family of YHWH), the
redemption of our body (deliverance on the Feast of
Trumpets through resurrection). 24 For we were saved (during the Spring Feasts by the Passover Lamb) in
this Hope
(that He will return again and fulfill the Fall Feasts,
resurrected our bodies and liberate creation), but Hope that is seen is
not Hope; for why does one still Hope for what he sees (we have not yet witnessed the fulfillment of the Fall Feasts, so Hope for
our deliverance endures)? 25 But if we Hope for what we do
not see, we eagerly wait for it (our
deliverance during the Fall Feasts) with perseverance (those who persevere until the end, shall be delivered).
I’ll stop here. That is how you study Scripture. Line upon
line, precept upon precept, letting Scripture define Scripture. We are never
to build implied doctrines based on sound bites! When you put Sha’ul’s
writing in context of each other, we find that the Apostle Sha’ul taught The
Law in context of The Yahushaic Covenant in a way few men were qualified to
do then, or today.
Sha’ul never taught against The Law. Sha’ul was a Torah
Master, and he was a NAZARENE!
