20 Then I saw an angel coming down from Heaven,
holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.
NOTE: This angel comes
with the keys to seal up the bottomless pit once he subdues the Dragon
who was given the keys earlier to release the bound demons/fallen angels
held in it.
Revelation 9:1
The
fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from
the sky to the Earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the
Abyss.
2 And he seized the Dragon (the woman, prostitute), that ancient
serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound her for a thousand years,
3 and threw her into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over her, so
that she might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand
years were ended. After that she must be released for a little while.
4 Then I saw thrones and seated on them were
those to whom the authority to judge was committed.
Matthew 19:28
when the Son of
Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit
on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life
until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6
Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over
such the second death (decree)
has no power, but they will be priests of Yahuah and of the Messiah, and
they will reign with him for a thousand years.
Revelation 1:5-6
5 and from Yahusha the Messiah, the faithful and
true witness (Immanuel), the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of
the kings of the Earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our
sins by His blood, 6 who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God
and Father Yahuah — to Him (Yahuah) be the glory and
power forever and ever!
Revelation 20:4
Also, I saw the souls of those who had been
beheaded for the Testimony of Yahusha and for the Word of Yahuah, and
those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received
its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and
reigned with the Messiah for a thousand years. I saw thrones on which
were seated those who had been given authority to judge.
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan
will be released from her prison 8 and will come out to deceive the
nations that are at the four corners of the Earth, Gog and Magog, to
gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And
they marched up over the broad plain of the Earth and surrounded the
camp of the saints which is the beloved city, but fire came down from
Heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was
thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false
prophet were, and they will be (metaphorically)
tormented day and night forever and ever (they
will forever go down in history as defeated).
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who
was seated on it. From his presence Earth and sky fled away, and no
place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small,
standing before the throne, and books (of the dead)
were opened (this is the ‘resurrection’, it is of
their memory recorded in those books).
Then another book
was opened, which is the book of life (and their
memory was “resurrected”). And the dead’s life record were judged by
what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13
And the sea gave up (the memories of)
the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up (the memories of) the dead who were
in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they
had done (recorded in the Books of the Dead).
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the
lake of fire (again, not literal. Death and Hades
are not people any more than the False Prophet or Antichrist. All are
ideas).
This is the second death, the lake of fire (judgement). 15 And if anyone's name was not found written
in the book of life, his memory was thrown into the lake of fire
(consumed by the Word of Yahuah the
all-consuming fire).
