SCRIPTURAL CONTEXT
Chapter 18
1 When he had finished expressing
his faith in The Heavenly Scroll and seeking Yahuah on behalf of his brothers, Yahusha
left with his Disciples to find the garden across the Kidron Valley.
2 Now Yahudah/Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place well
because Yahusha had often met there with his Disciples. 3 So Yahudah/Judas
came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from
the Chief Priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and
weapons.
4 Yahusha, knowing all
that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, Who is it you want? 5
Yahusha the Nazarene, they replied. I am he, Yahusha said. (Yahudah/Judas
the traitor was standing there with soldiers.) 6 When Yahusha said, I am he, they drew back and ordered
his Disciples to get on the ground. 7 Again he asked them, Who is it
you want? Yahusha the Nazarene, they said. 8 Yahusha answered, I
told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, then let these men go. 9
Yahusha said this so that the Words he had Spoken would be fulfilled: I have
not lost one of those You gave me (John 6:39).
10 Then Simon Peter drew
his sword and cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant (The servant’s name was
Malchus). 11 Yahusha ordered Peter,
Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup (constellation
CRATER - ‘the Cup’ seen during March/April (Passover) each year which
represents the Passover Cup his shed Blood to pay the dowry and redeem his
Bride at the end of the Age of ARIES The Lamb… when the Lamb dies the
meaning of Passover) the Father has given
me (to fulfill in The Heavenly Scroll)?
Crater
The constellation Crater is known as ‘the Cup’. Crater is a small constellation
located between Hydra and LEO and next to Corvus. Crater is best
seen sometime between March and June (timing
of The Passover when Yahusha must drink of ‘the cup’ John 18:11
and asked the “cup be taken away” Matthew 26:39).
12 Then the detachment of
soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Yahusha. They
bound him 13 and brought him first to Annas, who was the
father-in-law of Caiaphas (the illegitimate high priest appointed
by the procurator Valerius Gratus, under Tiberius, 18 A.D. Yahusha was the
legitimate High Priest of the House of Tsedek/Zadok consecrated directly by Yahuah
see Zechariah Chapter 3). 14
Caiaphas (acting on Rome’s behalf)
was the one who had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man
died for the people (he wanted to kill his rival; the legit High Priest of Israel).
15 Simon Peter and the
‘other Disciple’, Yahusha’s loved one (Miriam
Magdalene), were following Yahusha (Miriam never
left the side of her husband). Because Miriam
of Magdala was known to the high priest (to be his Family/Wife), she went with Yahusha into the high priest’s courtyard (you had to be
related to the prisoner to enter the courts), 16 but Peter had to wait outside at the door (because he
was no relation to Yahusha). Miriam, who
was known to the high priest (to be his Wife), came back, spoke to the servant girl on duty there and
brought Peter in.
17 You aren’t one of this
man’s Disciples too, are you? she asked Peter. He replied, I am not. 18
It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made
to keep warm. Peter said he was just there standing with them, ‘keeping himself
warm’ (denying he was there with Yahusha).
19 Meanwhile, the high
priest questioned Yahusha about his Disciples and his teaching (he was asked
to explain his teachings that The Kingdom proclaimed in The Heavenly Scroll was
at hand, the conversation between the high priest and Yahusha was lengthy). 20 I have spoken openly what is written in the
stars and proclaimed day after day, night after night to all the world (Psalm 19, Matthew
4:16,17), Yahusha replied.
Matthew 4:16,17
…16 the people living in darkness have seen a Great Light (The Sun is a
metaphor of the Spiritual Light of the World see John 1 and Psalm 19);
on those living in the land of the shadow of death (John 1:5), a Light
has dawned. (The Heavenly Scroll is being fulfilled John 1 and Luke 1:78)
17 From that time on Yahusha began to preach, Repent, for The Kingdom
of (revealed
in) heaven (Shamayim 'the place in the sky where the stars are located
i.e. The Heavenly Scroll) is at hand (he has come to fulfill it and usher in
The Spiritual Kingdom not of this world).
Psalm 19:1-6
1The Heavenly Scroll (Shamayim - stars, Sun, and
constellations) are telling of the Glory of Elohim (John 1:14);
And their expanse is (The Divine Counsel) declaring
the Work of His Hands (Enoch 35:3, John 1:3). 2 Day
to day The Heavenly Scroll pours forth speech, And night to night the
Sun/stars/constellations reveal knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor
are there words; Their voice is not heard. 4 Their line (Zodiac means ‘line/path/way
the Sun takes travels through the constellations’) has gone out
through all the Earth (the ecliptic plane), And their utterances to
the end of the world (John 1:9). In the stars/constellations
Yahuah has placed a tabernacle for the Sun (Luke 1:78,79, Matthew 4:16,17),
5 Which (the Sun) is as a Bridegroom (John 3:19)
coming out of his chamber (to marry the Bride John 3:29); It rejoices
as a strong man (ORION) to run (riding the
clouds of heaven)his course (of a wedding as the Groom… the feast Cycle/The Heavenly wedding). 6 The Sun’s rising
(Luke
1:78, Matthew 4:16,17) is from one end of the heavens (Shamayim/stars),
And its circuit (Zodiac) to the other end of them; And there
is nothing hidden from its Light/Revelation.
I always taught this same Message in
synagogues or at the Temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing
in secret. 21 Why question me? Ask those who heard me, they know
what I said.
22 When Yahusha said this,
one of the officials nearby slapped him in the face. Is this the way you answer
the high priest? he demanded.23 If I have been deceitful, Yahusha
replied, testify as to how I am guilty of deceit (Isaiah 53:9). But if I spoke the Truth (he was not guilty of deceit), why did you strike me? 24 Then Annas sent him
bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
25 Meanwhile, Simon Peter
was still standing there keeping warm. So they asked him, You aren’t one of his
Disciples too, are you? He denied it, saying, I am not. 26 One of
the high priest’s servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off,
challenged him, Didn’t I see you with him in the garden? 27 Again, Peter
denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow.
28 Then the Jewish leaders
took Yahusha from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was
early morning of the 14th, the Passover, and to avoid their
traditions of ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because
they wanted to be able to eat the Passover Meal eaten on the first day of the Feast
of Unleavened Bread that evening at sunset of the 15th after the
lambs had been slaughtered the afternoon of Passover. 29 So Pilate
came out to them and asked, What charges are you bringing against this man?
30 He is guilty of deceiving
the people that he is God, claiming to be King, and inciting his followers to
violently take the throne from Caesar. If he were not guilty of breaking our
Laws, they replied, we would not have handed him over to you. 31
Pilate said, Take him yourselves and judge him by your own traditions. But we
have no right to execute anyone, they objected. 32 This took place
to fulfill what Yahusha had said about the kind of death he was going to die.
33 Pilate then went back
inside the palace, summoned Yahusha and interrogated Yahusha to see if the
charges were true that he claimed to be King and was organizing an uprising
against Rome, Are you the King of the Jews? 34 Is that your
impression of me, Yahusha asked, or did others tell you I said that? 35
Am I a Jew, I know nothing of your prophecies? Pilate replied, Your own people
and Chief Priests handed you over to me and said you claimed to be King;
wanting me to execute you for inciting violence against Rome. What is it you
have done against Rome? (Yahusha was brought up on charges of
deceiving the people that he was “God” which is blasphemy and inciting violence
in fulfillment of Isaiah 53:9).
Isaiah 53:9
His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet he was with a rich man in his
death, because he had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in his mouth.
36 Yahusha explained that
he was no threat to Rome and did not incite his Disciples to violence, My Kingdom
is not of this Physical Realm. If it were, my servants would
fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders and forcefully install me as
King. But no, my Kingdom is from the Spiritual Realm, so neither I nor any of
my followers are a threat to Rome. 37 You are a King then! said
Pilate (trying to determine if he was a threat). Yahusha answered, What you say is True, I am The King
(now
Yahusha had to teach Pilate what that means in context of The Heavenly Scroll
and his role to first come and die before he would return at the end of the Age
of PISCES, or he would have been killed by Rome for claiming to be King). In fact, it is for that reason I came in the flesh (outside any
Divine Influence)
and I came into being in the world (created at
the end of the 4th Prophetic Day as foretold in the stars)
to testify to the Truth proclaimed in
The Heavenly Scroll. Everyone who puts their faith in The Word of His Testimony
which is True (connecting the visible facts
proclaimed in the stars to the underlying Spiritual Reality of The Plan of
Salvation: g228 true – ‘connecting visible fact to its underlying
reality’) listens
to me who came to fulfill it.”
38 What is this Truth (proclaimed in
the stars? Pilate and Yahusha have a lengthy discussion as he was interrogated
and Yahusha “taught The Kingdom proclaimed in The Heavenly Scroll is at hand”
so Pilate would realize Yahusha was no threat to Rome, he was going to assume
the Throne in Heaven Daniel 7 and Revelation 5 not on Earth. This is why Pilate
found him innocent and no threat even though he just said he was King. Normally
anyone who claimed to be King would be executed on the spot by Rome!)? With this confirmation from Yahusha that he was neither a
King in this world, a threat to Rome, or inciting violence to overthrow Roman
occupation of Israel; he went out again to the Chief Priests and Pharisees who
had gathered there and said, I find no basis for a charge against him. 39
But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of The
Passover. Do you want me to release ‘The King of The Jews’? 40 They
shouted back, No, not him! Give us Barabbas! Now Barabbas, a Zealot, had taken
part in an uprising (Barabbas was a Zealot not a “thief”, you don’t execute
thieves. You make examples of those who fight against Roman occupation).
