WHO TOLD ABRAHAM TO SACRIFICE ISAAC?
Excerpt from my book The Nazarene
by Rav Sha’ul
I was asked the question:
Question
"Rav Sha'ul, I read in your books that Abraham attempted
to sacrifice Isaac because that is what he perceived Yahuah to tell him to do
by reading The Heavenly Scroll. I just don't see this, the Scriptures literally
say that Yahuah "told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac"."
In this teaching we are going to do what is rarely ever
done, we are going to look at Scripture “in context” and come to a full
understanding of what took place when Abraham attempted to kill his own son in
Genesis Chapter 22. We are going to put this event into its proper context
of The Heavenly Scroll as well as the context of all Scripture to clearly
define this event in question.
We have all been taught that the “faith of Abraham” was
proven by Abraham attempting to murder his son Isaac through human sacrifice.
Is this true? Is this what Scripture reveals or have we again been
led astray by false teachings by teachers who do not have the understanding or
knowledge to teach “line upon line, precept upon precept” but instead simply
teach us Scripture in out of context sound bites?
Introduction
Was it Abraham’s attempt to kill Isaac that proved his
“faith” or was it Abraham’s faith in The Heavenly Scroll (enough to kill
Isaac in error) that Yahuah honored? We see that Sha’ul (the Apostle
Paul) tells us it was Abraham’s faith in The Heavenly Scroll!
Galatians 3
5 So again I ask, does Yahuah give you His
Spirit and work Miracles among you by the works of The Law, or by your
believing what you heard (proclaimed by the stars Psalms
19)? 6 So also Abraham “believed Yahuah (when
Yahuah told him to read The Heavenly Scroll Genesis 15:5), and it
(his belief in The Heavenly Scroll) was
credited to him as Righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have
Faith (in The Heavenly Scrol) are Children of
Abraham. 8 Scripture (the word contained eternally in
The Heavenly Scroll Psalms 119:89) foresaw (from the foundation of the world) that Yahuah would
justify the Gentiles by Faith, and announced the Gospel in advance to Abraham (Genesis 15:5): “All nations will be blessed
through you.” 9 So those who rely on Faith (in
the Plan of Salvation written in The Heavenly Scroll) are blessed along
with Abraham, the man of Faith…16 The Promises were spoken to Abraham (via The Heavenly Scroll Gen. 1:15) and to his
seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to
your seed,” meaning one person, who is The Messiah (is
what the Stars told Abraham, the Galatians, and you and I today!).
Then Sha’ul outright declares AGAIN that “the faith of
Abraham” is faith in The Heavenly Scroll
Romans 10:17
Consequently, Faith comes from hearing the
message, and the message is heard through the word about the Messiah (what "word" about Yahusha?). 18 But I ask:
Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice (constellations)
has gone out into all the Earth, their words (concerning
Yahusha) to the ends of the world.” (Sha’ul
quotes Psalms 19)
Psalm 19
2 The heavens (Shamayim
'the place in the sky where the stars are located' i.e. Zodiac) are
telling of the Glory of Yahuah (the Glory of Yahuah is
Yahusha! 2 Corinthians 4:6); And their (the
stars) expanse is Declaring the work of His hands. 2 Day to day (The Heavenly Scroll) pours forth speech, And night to
night reveals Knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; Their (signs of the Zodiac/Constellations) voice is not
heard. 4 Their line (Zodiac means line or path of the
sun) has gone out through (and seen by)
all the Earth, And their (signs of the Zodiac)
utterances to the end of the world. In them (the
constellations) He has placed a tent for the sun (the Zodiac, Mazzaroth, Heavenly Scroll), 5 Which is
as a Bridegroom (Yahusha) coming out of his
chamber; It rejoices as a strong man (human Messiah)
to run his course (of a Wedding the Feast Cycle).
6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens (Zodiac),
And its circuit (Zodiac means circuit or path or The
Way) to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its
heat.
Psalm 119:89
Your Word, Yahuah, is Eternal; it stands firm
(written) in the heaven(ly Scroll).
We see in The Heavenly Scroll the “course of a wedding” that
later became an annual celebration on Earth called The Holy Days.
So which is it? Was Abraham justified in attempting to
murder his own son or was he justified by his faith in The Heavenly Scroll when
Yahuah told him to read the stars?
Genesis 15
5 And He brought him forth abroad, and said,
Look now toward heaven(ly Scroll), and (see if you can)
tell (what) the stars (Proclaim
Psalm 19), if thou be able to number them (read them in order, as the Sun travels through them; there
are 12): and he said unto him, So shall thy seed (Yahusha) be (they tell the
story of his life Galatians 3:5-9 and Pslam 19).
To properly interpret Scripture we must never “sound bite”
it by taking it out of context, and we must establish our doctrine and
understanding precept upon precept. So before we begin, let us establish
some “precepts” upon which we are to base our understanding of our Father.
The bigger question this event begs is… “Does Yahuah tempt
anyone with evil (breaking His Laws) as to murder their own son?”
First, we read in Genesis 22 that Abraham was tempted to
murder Isaac and he blamed it on Yahuah! But we know in context that
Yahuah is not tempted by evil and NEVER tempts anyone to break His Righteous
Laws (such as murdering your own son or offering a human sacrifice which is the
definition of ‘evil’)!
James 1
13 When tempted, no one should say, “- Yahuah
is tempting me". For Yahuah cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt
anyone with evil. 14 But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is
lured away and enticed.…
May it never be! Abraham was “tempted by his own evil
desires (human nature)” by what he THOUGHT Yahuah had laid out in The Heavenly
Scroll. Abraham was not only wrong in attempting to kill Isaac, he was also
wrong is blaming it on Yahuah saying “Yahuah tempted me to kill my son” as I
will prove in this teaching. In context we can insert the specific case
of Abraham offering a human sacrifice of his own son into James 1 and we get:
James 1 13
When tempted, Abraham should not say, “- Yahuah is tempting me". For
Yahuah cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone with evil. 14 But
Abraham was tempted when by his own evil desires (human nature and misunderstanding of The Heavenly Scroll) he is lured away and enticed (by Satan).…
Now let me prove it.
Precepts
upon which Yahuah is defined
Let us continue to lay down some very important precepts
upon which we are to build our understanding of all Scripture and more
importantly our understanding of our Father.
We know Yahuah is Holy and His Law defines that Holiness, so
how can Yahuah make such a claim to be Holy if He is guilty of “sinning against
His own Law” by commanding murder?
Leviticus 11
44
For I am Yahuah your Elohim. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for
I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming
things that swarm on the earth. 45 'For I am Yahuah who brought you up from the
land of Egypt to be your Elohim; thus you shall be holy, for I am holy.'"
Psalm 89
33
"But I will not break off My lovingkindness from him, Nor deal falsely in
My faithfulness. 34"My covenant I will not violate, Nor will I alter the
utterance of My lips. 35" Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not
lie.
The Bible declares that Yahuah is faithful to His promises,
and therefore we can have confidence in Him to fulfill them. He does not
“say one thing and mean another” to tempt us with breaking His Law.
1 Corinthians 1:9
9
Yahuah is faithful, who has called you into covenant with his Son, Yahusha the
Messiah.
Hebrews 10:23
23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is
faithful.
We see that Yahuah does not “change His mind” and there is no
wavering or shadow of turning (mind games):
James 1
…16
Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from
(the one revealed) above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights (the author of The Heavenly Scroll where the Plan of
Salvation is revealed), with
whom there is no change or shifting shadow.
Numbers 23:19
Yahuah
isn't a man that he would lie, or a human being that he would change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and not done it, or promised and not fulfilled it?
So Yahuah does not break His own Laws and violate His own
covenant promises, He does not change his mind and say one thing and mean
another, and there is NO change or shadow of turning (He does not play mind
games telling us to do one thing, then changing His mind)! So the
question remains, “did Yahuah tell Abraham to kill Isaac?” If Yahuah did, in
fact, command that unrighteous act, then He is NOT a “Holy Elohim” and He is a
liar and cannot be trusted to fulfill any of His promises!
So how do we reconcile this event on Mt. Mariah where
Abraham “thought Yahuah told him to kill Isaac”? We do that by studying
line upon line (no sound biting) and precept upon precept (in context of all
revelation of Scripture) to put the pieces together to reveal exactly “why” Abraham
attempted to murder his own son through human sacrifice.
I am going to clearly show in Scripture that Yahuah did NOT
count it as Righteousness that Abraham tried to murder Isaac as if that is what
He told him to do! That is a false teaching and “assumed doctrine” through
sound bite teachings out of context taking just Genesis 22 out of context of
The Heavenly Scroll (Genesis 15:5) and the precepts upon which Yahuah is
defined. I am going to prove that Yahuah counted it Righteousness when
Abraham demonstrated his faith in The Heavenly Scroll (which is why he
attempted to kill Isaac) but misunderstood that message, so Yahuah stepped in
to stop Isaac’s murder. Then I am going to show the entire context of this
event on Mt. Mariah was in context of Yahuah witnessing to Abraham “Yahusha’s
Day” in the stars, which Abraham misinterpreted as speaking of his son Isaac as
“that seed” revealed in the stars.
The Book of
Jasher
Before we continue, let us look at the Book of Jasher. This
holds a very important clue to this story of “who was speaking to Abraham”. We
see in that account, all of the sudden Satan is all over the place in this
event to kill Isaac. Killing Isaac would have been the first thing
Satan would have tried to do, as that would end the bloodline from which the
Chosen Messiah was destined to be born.
Click here to read the account in The Book of Jasher.
So is it possible that “the word of the LORD” that came to
Abraham was not from Yahuah at all, but from Satan to kill Isaac? Or at least
Satan enticed Abraham by Abraham’s misunderstanding of The Heavenly Scroll?
Let me ask you all a question, are there other precedents in
Scripture where a man of Yahuah was visited by an obvious demon, but the man of
Yahuah though it was a Righteous Messenger and listened to that messenger as if
it were “the Word of Yahuah”?
If it can be shown that, in Scripture, it appears as
though Yahuah is coming to a servant (and even says that) but we know for a
fact it was not Yahuah… then we must consider that it is possible as well
in this event because Satan is all over this story and the event to kill Isaac.
Yes, there are precedents in Scripture where it “looks
and reads” as if “the Word of Yahuah” is coming to a servant through a
messenger, but that messenger, in reality, is NOT of Yahuah.
This is because what we read is the perspective of the one being visited!
We err in taking every single thing and story told in the Bible
literally, when some strories are told from the vantage point of the one being
deceived!Below David was “tricked by Satan parading around as The Word of
Yahuah”…
Below, David was “tricked by Satan parading around as
The Word of Yahuah”…
1 chron 21:1
Then
Satan attacked Israel by inciting David to enumerate a census of Israel
Another example is Saul conjuring up the prophet Samuel. We
know that when we die, we “sleep” or cease to exist until we are resurrected.
That is why we are forbidden from “conjuring up the dead” because WE cannot
raise them from the dead through witchcraft! We are, in fact, doing
nothing more than consulting evil Spirits parading around as “Samuel” in this
case.
So Saul broke the Law of Yahuah and in the process consulted
a demon. But it does not read that way; it reads as if it was Samuel
because the story is told from Saul’s perspective and WE must use Wisdom and
put that story into context.
1 Samuel 28
…14 He said to her, "What is his
form?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped with
a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to
the ground and did homage. 15Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you
disturbed me by bringing me up?" And Saul answered, "I am greatly
distressed; for the Philistines are waging war against me, and God has departed
from me and no longer answers me, either through prophets or by dreams;
therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I should
do." 16 Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since Yahuah has
departed from you and has become your adversary?…
This was NOT Samuel! But it reads like it is. This evil
Spirit even “plays the game” and talks in Righteous phrases that Yahuah has
withdrawn from Saul as if it is from Yahuah. We have to know “context” to avoid
this trap in Scripture and recognize when a story is told from a different
perspective. It reads like it is Samuel because that is how Saul told the
story!
So there are other examples of men of Yahuah “thinking they
heard from Yahuah” and did not; but it reads in Scripture as if they did, but
still… they did not that is just what “they thought” and how they communicated
it we are just reading their perspective. This is the case in Genesis 22
as I will show.
Satan’s
goal (not Yahuah’s) was to kill Isaac!
In Abraham’s case, killing Isaac was just what Satan had
ordered up to prevent the birth of the Messiah and Satan is all over that
event. Much like later when the Messiah was to be born, Satan enticed
King Herod to kill all the children 2 years younger.
I am going to show us exactly what Yahuah DID tell Abraham
and prove it by 2 confirming witness via David and Sha’ul. Yahuah simply showed
Abraham The Heavenly Scroll and in that scroll, it lays
out the sacrifice of the Messiah as “carrying the wood of the sacrifice
and eternal life springing from his death on the 3rd Day” and Yahuah
told Abraham that was speaking of his “seed” (singular Galatians
3) and Abraham misunderstood that seed to be Isaac.
So Abraham in ERROR set out to murder his own son “thinking”
that is what Yahuah had said in The Heavenly Scroll and that is why it reads
that way in Genesis 22. THEN Satan stepped in and enticed Abraham to kill
Isaac. I will show that what was accounted to Abraham as Righteousness was NOT
trying to Kill Isaac, but his faith in The Heavenly Scroll as Sha’ul
told the Galatians.
To fully understand what “Word of Yahuah” came to Abraham,
we simply look to Scripture in context to show us when and how this happened
and then put the event on Mt. Mariah into THAT context.
The
Context of Genesis 22
We see where and how the Word of Yahuah “came to Abraham” if
we simply look and keep the context in Genesis. It came through revelation via
The Heavenly Scroll. Remember, the “Word of Yahuah” at that time existed ONLY
in The Heavenly Scroll as that is where His Word is eternally preserved, there
was no Torah or Earthly Scroll… The “written” Word came into existence 430
years later with Moses.
Psalm 119:89
Your
Word, O Yahuah, is eternally written in (the) heaven(ly
scroll).
And we see that it is THAT word that “came to Abraham”
Genesis 15
5 And
He brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven(ly Scroll),
and (see if you can) tell (what) the stars (Proclaim
Psalm 19), if thou be
able to number them (read them in order as the
Sun travels thorugh them over the course of a year, there are 12): and he said unto him, So shall thy seed (Yahusha) be (they tell the story of his life).
Now, this is NOT where the stars tell of the number of his
descendants, that is a totally different revelation. This event is when Yahuah
“showed Abraham Yahusha’s Day”! Yahusha, the Messiah, also spoke of
Abraham understanding the message contained in the stars. Yahuah witnessed to
Abraham of the coming Messiah in the stars, and in that way, Abraham “saw
Yahusha”.
John 8:56-58
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the
thought of seeing my day (Genesis 15:5);
he saw it and was glad.”
Abraham, however, thought it was speaking of Isaac. The
contents of The Heavenly Scroll and how it speaks of a coming Messiah would not
be revealed until thousands of years later through His Prophets who read the
scroll and revealed its meaning please watch my videos below of the Prophets
revealing the contents of The Heavenly Scroll.
So Yahuah had not revealed to mankind who The Heavenly Sroll
was speaking of at that time and Abraham thought ‘the Chosen One’ was
Isaac! That is understandable as Isaac too was “chosen” to be the bloodline
from which the Branch would come to fulfill The Heavenly Scroll but that Branch
was Yahusha!
Hebrews 10:7
Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written
about me in the heavenly scroll-- I have come to do your will, my God! (Matthew 6:10)
Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on
earth as it is (written) in (the) heaven(ly scroll... Psalms
119:89).
Sha’ul the Apostle explains this very thing, we see that The
Heavenly Scroll is a mystery and hidden until Yahusha came to fulfill it…
1 Corinthians 2
1 And so it was with me, Brothers and
Sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I
Proclaimed to you the Testimony of Yahuah (about
Yahusha written in the stars). 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I
was with you except Yahusha the Messiah and him crucified (before the foundation of the world written in the stars
before our very eyes, Galatians 3). 3 I came to you in weakness
with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise
and persuasive words (of human literal wisdom),
but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s Power, 5 so that your Faith might not
rest on (literal) human wisdom, but on Yahuah’s
Power (in a Mystery Language). 6 We do,
however, speak a message of (Spiritual) Wisdom
among the (Spiritually) mature, but not the
wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age (who
viewed the Zodiac literally, and worshipped the signs and the Sun), who
are coming to nothing. 7 No, we Declare Yahuah’s Wisdom, a mystery that has
been hidden (in the Heavenly Scroll) and that
Yahuah destined for our Glory before time began (writing
it in the stars on day 4 of creation). 8 None of the rulers of this age
understood it (because it was corrupted by the
watchers, Enoch 9:6)
Then Sha’ul goes on to tell the Galatians that “the Word of
Yahuah” came to Abraham concerning the Messiah via The Heavenly Scroll as it did
to ALL of Yahuah’s anointed prophet from Enoch to John the Revelator:
Galatians 3
You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you
(obviously, they were denying the Prophets spoke of
Yahusha)? Before your very eyes (in The
Heavenly Scroll) Yahusha the Messiah was clearly portrayed as crucified
…7 Understand then (what is foretold in the stars),
that those who have Faith are Children of Abraham. 8 Scripture (the Word written in the heavens, Psalm 119:89)
foresaw that Yahuah would Justify the Gentiles by Faith, and Yahuah announced
the Gospel in advance to Abraham (via The Heavenly
Scroll, Genesis 15:5; saying): “All nations will be blessed through
you.”
Yahuah
uses The Heavenly Scroll as His Witness to all the Prophets of the coming
Messiah!
Yahuah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The
Heavenly Scroll is His “stamp over His Creation” and His Witness that Yahusha
is the king of “the Kingdom revealed in heaven (the Heavenly Scroll)” and it is
via The Heavenly Scroll that ALL the prophets understood the coming Messiah not
just Abraham. Below are just a few references, the Bible is FULL of
references to The Heavenly Scroll as it is literally based upon The Plan of
Salvation written in The Heavenly Scroll.
Isaiah 34:4
And all the host of heaven (Zodiac Signs/Constellations “host stars”) shall be
dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll (i.e. The Heavenly Scroll).
Revelation 6:14
The heavens (Mazzaroth/Zodiac)
receded like a scroll being rolled up.
Revelation 5 - The Opening
of the Scroll of the Mazzaroth
5 Then I saw in the right hand of the one
who was seated on the throne a scroll written on the front and back (3-D scroll of heavenly pictographs) and sealed with
seven seals.
Hebrews 10:7
Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written
about me in the heavenly scroll-- I have come to do your will, my God! (Matthew 6:10)
Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom (revealed
in 'heaven' or 'Kingdom of Heaven') come, Your will be done, on earth as
it is (written) in (the)
heaven(ly scroll).
Psalm 119:89
Your word, Yahuah, is eternal; it stands
firm (written) in the heaven(ly Scroll).
Ezekiel 2:9-10
Then I looked (into the heavens), and
behold, a hand was extended to me; and lo, a scroll was in it.
Zechariah 5:2-3
And he said to me, "What do you see (as you look into the heavens)?" And I answered,
"I see a flying scroll!”
Matthew 13:11
He replied, "Because the knowledge of
the secrets of the kingdom of (revealed in)
heaven (the Zodiac or Heavenly Scroll, the “secrets
preserved in the heavens” Enoch 6:9) has been given to you, but
not to them.
And above, the “faith of Abraham” is found, like it was for
Abraham, in The Heavenly Scroll… NOT because he tried to kill Isaac!!!! That is
how we ALL can have “the Faith of Abraham” by putting our faith in The Heavenly
Scroll NOT by murdering our own firstborn. So it was accredited to
Abraham as Righteousness because he believed The Heavenly Scroll (enough to
kill Isaac which was an unrighteous act done in “faith” so Yahuah honored his
faith in the Scroll not his attempt to murder his son stopping him from that
unrighteous act of murder)
Then Sha’ul outright declares AGAIN that “the faith of
Abraham” is faith in The Heavenly Scroll
Romans 10:17
Consequently, Faith comes from hearing the
message, and the message is heard through the word about the Messiah (what "word" about Yahusha?). 18 But I ask:
Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their (constellations)
voice has gone out into all the Earth, their words (concerning
Yahusha) to the ends of the world.” (Sha’ul
quotes Psalms 19)
Sha’ul quotes David as the “source of our faith” in Psalm 19
which is a verbatim description of The Heavenly Scroll and what it contains:
Psalm 19
2 The heavens (Shamayim
the place in the sky where the stars are located
i.e. Zodiac) are telling of the Glory of Yahuah (the Glory of Yahuah is Yahusha! 2 Corinthians 4:6); And
their (the stars) expanse is Declaring the work
of His hands. 2 Day to day (The Heavenly Scroll)
pours forth speech, And night to night reveals Knowledge. 3 There is no speech,
nor are there words; Their (signs of the
Zodiac/Constellations) voice is not heard. 4 Their line (Zodiac means line or path of the sun) has gone out
through (and seen by) all the Earth, And their
(signs of the Zodiac) utterances to the end of
the world. In them (the constellations) He has
placed a tent for the sun (the Zodiac), 5 Which
is as a Bridegroom (Yahusha) coming out of his
chamber; It rejoices as a strong man (human Messiah)
to run his course (of a Wedding per The Feast Cycle).
6 Its (the Sun) rising is from one end of the
heavens (Zodiac), And its (the Sun's) circuit (Zodiac
means circuit or path or The Way) to the other end of them; And there is
nothing hidden from its heat.
Psalm 119:89
Your Word, Yahuah, is Eternal; it stands firm
(written) in the heaven(ly Scroll).
Then Sha’ul confirms that in Gen 15:5 this
revelation given to Abraham is NOT talking about the number of his descendants,
but rather a singular “seed” speaking of Yahusha, but Abraham thought that
“seed” was Isaac.
Galatians 3:16
The Promises were spoken to Abraham and to
his seed (Genesis 1:15). Scripture does
not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your
seed," meaning one person, who is Yahusha the Messiah (the stars were speaking of Yahusha!).
It was Satan who “twisted” the message in The Heavenly
Scroll and enticed Abraham to kill Isaac as I will show. We see below,
Sha’ul clearly says that it was Abraham’s faith in The Heavenly Scroll that was
credited to him as “Righteousness” NOT that he tried to kill Isaac:
What
about Genesis Chapter 22?
Now… before I continue. The Million Dollar Question…
What do we make of Genesis 22:1-9? Before
I get to that and explain that as well, I want to prove a very very important
point. Yahuah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does
not change and either does His methods.
We all say “Yahuah spoke to me last night” and said this or
that. Does that mean Yahuah literally spoke in an audible voice to us? No. That
is NOT how Yahuah communicates. What we really mean is “I feel in my Spirit”
that Yahuah has spoken and many (most) times that is not Yahuah speaking, it is
our own human nature just telling us what we want Yahuah to say.
We also say “I have walked with Yahuah for many years” or
whatever. Does that mean Yahuah has literally in physical form walked beside
us… No.
These are figures of speech called anthropomorphisms we use
to describe our relationship with a Spiritual Being we cannot see, hear, or
touch. Yahuah is the same yesterday and He NEVER comes and speaks audibly; His
Voice would literally end our physical lives. He does not speak audibly and
never has. He speaks, even to His prophets, through The Heavenly Scroll and
visions and so forth that we then have to “interpret” and we rarely get that
message correct. It almost always is perverted by our own “will” and human nature.
However, in Scripture when we see this same use of language
to describe a communication with The Creator such as “Yahuah spoke” or maybe
“Adam walked with” we in error think it is literal when it is nothing more than
the same use of language to describe how Yahuah works.
So many times in Scripture what we are reading is that man’s
interpretation of events as he understood them. Not that Yahuah literally spoke
to that person, but they read The Heavenly Scroll or had a vision and we get
their version of what they “think” it meant, and in Scripture that is not
always what Yahuah was saying, it is just their wrong interpretation of it.
So we are commanded never to take anything out of context.
Yahuah will reveal the truth behind these passages if we keep context intact
and come to an understanding line upon line (no sound biting) precept upon
precept (taking everything in context of ALL Scripture).
What we have in Genesis 22 is “Abrahams understanding” of
this event… and the pieces of this puzzle only come together when we put it
into context…. which is what I am about to do. But we have to know the
Scriptures inside and out in intimate detail and to do this type of thing
Yahuah has anointed men and given them to us as teachers. However, there are
very few of those men and most who claim to be teachers are not qualified
either Spiritually or have the knowledge of the Scriptures to properly teach
them “in context” and almost all of them have denied The Heavenly Scroll which
is the source of our Faith and the “context’ all Scripture must be understood.
To Abraham, he saw this entire event as a test from Yahuah
and he interpreted that test in the way he described in in Gen. 22. But, as I
showed earlier, we know IN CONTEXT that Yahuah would never command anyone to
murder their own son and violate His Commandments. That is where Jasher comes
in and in that account, we get more detail and low and behold… there is SATAN
playing both Abraham and Sarah all along in that event.
Below is how we should understand Genesis 22:
Genesis 22:1-9
22 Some time later God tested Abraham (this is what Abraham thought was going on, but we know
Yahuah does not tempt anyone with murder). He said to him, “Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
2 (then Yahuah
told Abraham to go read The Heavenly Scroll per Genesis 15:5)
Then (this is how Abraham interpreted the message in
the stars) God said (this is a figure of
speech. Yahuah does not literally speak to
anyone, He spoke to Abraham through the stars), “Take your son, your
only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him
there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” (that is Abraham's interpretation of what The Heavenly Scroll
said)
Abraham
was reading The Heavenly Scroll
The question remains, “how do we know Abraham attempted to
sacrifice Isaac because he read The Heavenly Scroll, and THAT is how the Word
of Yahuah came to Abraham?
We know this because of how he attempted to sacrifice Isaac
and why he expected a Lamb to be provided! You see, that is exactly what is
foretold in the stars, that the Branch would “carry the wood of the sacrifice”
and he is portrayed as a lamb that would be slaughtered! And that is EXACTLY
what we read in how Abraham set up Isaac’s sacrifice!
Why did Abraham “go up on the 3rd Day”? Because, again, he
read The Word of Yahuah eternally preserved in The Heavenly Scroll where it
depicts Living Water would be poured out “on the third day” and Living Water
would raise the dead.
So let’s look first at what is revealed to Abraham when “the
Word of The LORD” came to him via… The Heavenly Scroll.
Genesis 15
5 And He brought him forth abroad, and said,
Look now toward heaven (the Zodiac), and (see if you can) tell (what)
the stars (Proclaim Psalm 19), if thou
be able to number them (read them in order as the Sun
is seen moving through the constellations, there are 12): and he said
unto him, So shall thy seed (Yahusha) be (they tell the story of his life).
So what did Abraham “see” when he read The Heavenly Scroll?
Below is the contents of The Heavenly Scroll:
The Word of Yahuah that came to Abraham
·
VIRGO: A young maiden will give a virgin birth (first born son) to a
beautiful glorious and righteous BRANCH (this is why Yahusha is called The
Branch). The seed of the woman will be a man of humiliation to rise to
be the desire of nations and will become exalted first as Shepherd (Suffering
Servant) then as Harvester (Conquering King).
·
LIBRA: The scales demand a price to be paid of this
seed, he will carry the wood of the sacrifice over all the Earth; the victim will
be slain (this is where Abraham got the idea to sacrifice Isaac and make him
carry the wood of the sacrifice) and purchase a crown.
·
SCORPIO: There is a conflict between the seed and the
serpent leading to a struggle with the enemy, the enemy is vanquished.
·
SAGITTARIUS: The double-natured seed
(servant/king) triumphs as a warrior and pleases the heavens, builds fires of
punishment, casts down the dragon.
·
CAPRICORNUS: Eternal life
comes from his death (this is why Abraham was willing to go
through with it, he believed Yahuah would raise Isaac from the dead), he’s the
Arrow of God, he is pierced, yet springs up again in abundant life.
·
AQUARIUS: He pours out “living water” from on high (on the 3rd Day
after his sacrifice), humanity drinks of the heavenly river and the faithful live
again, he is the deliverer of the good news (Gospel), Carrying the
wood of the sacrifice over the earth.
·
PISCES: The Redeemer’s people multiplied, supported
and led by the Lamb, The Bride is exposed on earth, the Bridegroom is exalted.
·
ARIES: The Lamb is found worthy (this is why
Abraham expected a Lamb substitute), the Bride is made ready, Satan is
bound, the strong man triumphs.
·
TAURUS: The conquering Ruler comes, the sublime
vanquisher, to execute the great judgment, he is the ruling Shepherd King.
·
GEMINI: The Marriage of the Lamb, the enemy is trodden
down, the Prince comes in great Glory.
·
CANCER: The great Bride, the two Houses of Judah and
Israel are united, they are brought safely into the kingdom.
·
LEO: The Lion King is aroused for rending, the
Serpent flees, the Bowl of Wrath is upon him, his Carcass is devoured. The Lion
of the tribe of Judah rules as King.
Why did Abraham make Isaac carry the wood of the sacrifice?
Now, we see twice in The Heavenly Scroll that the Branch
would carry the wood of the sacrifice, both in the pictogram of LIBRA and then
again in AQUARIUS… This is why Abraham made Isaac “carry the wood of the
sacrifice” and “slay Isaac”:
Genesis 22
6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt
offering and placed it on his son Isaac
·
LIBRA: The scales demand a price to be paid of this
seed, he will carry the wood of the sacrifice over all the Earth; the victim will
be slain (this is where Abraham got the idea to sacrifice Isaac and make him
carry the wood of the sacrifice) and purchase a crown.
Why did Abraham went up on Mt. Mariah on the 3rd Day
We see that Abraham went up on the 3rd day. Why? We see in
the pictograph of Aquarius, that he dead live again “on the 3rd day (the
beginning of the Age of Aquarius is AFTER 2,000 years (2 prophetic days) on the
7th Millennium (on the 3rd prophetic day) from when the Lamb (Aries) dies (at
the end of the 4th Prophetic Day).
Why did Abraham expect a “lamb” substitute?
As Sha’ul told the Galatians, Yahusha is PORTRAYED right
before our very eyes as “a Lamb that would be slaughtered” as that is what is
written in the stars! The Branch dies at the end of the Age of Aries (the
Lamb) as “the Lamb/Aries dies/ends” and the Age of Pisces (the Messianic Age)
begins.
So Abraham was fulfilling “a lamb that would be slaughtered”
hoping for a replacement, while “slaying the Branch” and making him carry “the
wood of the sacrifice) and looking for Isaac to be resurrected “on the 3rd
day”.
Genesis 22
4 On the third day (Aquarius) Abraham looked up and saw the place in
the distance. 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and
the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” 6 Abraham
took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac (Libra), and he himself carried the fire and the
knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his
father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood
are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” 8
Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering (Aries), my son.” And the two of them went on
together (to offer Isaac Libra).
While Abraham did not fully understand what The Word of
Yahuah was that came to him via The Heavenly Scroll (it had not been revealed
through His Prophets at that point)… he certainly understood what it says and
set out to fulfill it… with the WRONG “chosen one”. Even down to
expecting a Lamb to replace Isaac.
The order and way Abraham constructed the sacrifice is PROOF
that as Genesis 15:5 declares it was The Heavenly Scroll through which The Word
of Yahuah came to him. Then what we get in Genesis 22 is Abraham’s
understanding as he “thought” that Yahuah had told him to kill Isaac. But as we
read in the Book of Jasher, the actual murdering of Isaac was not from Yahuah,
Satan was the one present at that event and was manipulating Abraham and Sarah.
Book of Jasher, Chapter 23
25 And whilst Abraham was proceeding with his
son Isaac along the road, Satan came and appeared to Abraham in the figure of a
very aged man, humble and of contrite spirit, and he approached Abraham and
said to him, Art thou silly or brutish, that thou goest to do this thing this
day to thine only son? 26 For God gave thee a son in thy latter days, in thy
old age, and wilt thou go and slaughter him this day because he committed no
violence, and wilt thou cause the soul of thine only son to perish from the
earth? 27 Dost thou not know and understand that this thing cannot be from the
Lord? for the Lord cannot do unto man such evil upon earth to say to him, Go
slaughter thy child.
What we are reading above is Satan provoking Abraham using
“reverse psychology”…
Satan
was right Yahuah would NEVER give such a command nor tempt anyone to break His
Righteous Law
Satan knew that if he came and said “don’t do it” then Abraham
would most certainly see his misunderstanding of the Scroll as “from Yahuah if
Satan was trying to stop it”. Which is exactly what Abraham thought…
Satan played Abraham like a fiddle. Satan was not trying to stop Abraham, he
wanted Isaac dead, he was trying to be sure Abraham went through with it.
Conclusion
The bigger question this event begs is…
“Does
Yahuah tempt anyone with evil (breaking His Laws) as to murder their own son?
May it never be! Abraham was “tempted by his own evil
desires (human nature)” by what he THOUGHT Yahuah had laid out in The Heavenly
Scroll. Abraham was not only wrong in attempting to kill Isaac, he was also
wrong is blaming it on Yahuah saying “Yahuah tempted me to kill my son”…
James 1
13 When tempted, no one should say, “- Yahuah
is tempting me". For Yahuah cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt
anyone with evil. 14 But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is
lured away and enticed.…
So says Scripture and so too says the real “context” of this
event on Mt. Mariah.
That being said, Yahuah did use this event to set up a
precedent that would later be fulfilled by the REAL chosen one! When Yahusha
would later go to Mt. Mariah and give his own life, carry the wood of the
sacrifice, and do it on Mt. Mariah… then raise the dead “on the 3rd day” but
that is a teaching all on its own!
Our teachers today teach “sound bite doctrine” taking
Scripture such as Genesis 22 and teaching it in isolation outside off the
context of Genesis 15:5, The Heavenly Scroll, and the precepts upon which
Yahuah is defined. We know from the book of Job that Yahuah does not temp
anyone… He turns Satan loose on them and that is what happened to Abraham!
This teaching is an example of how we are to read, understand,
and teach the Scriptures… line upon line, precept upon precept to avoid turning
Yahuah into an unholy, unjust, unreliable, law breaking double minded “god” by
tempting Abraham to sin against His Own Law, saying one thing and meaning
another, and playing mind games with His Chosen. That is Satan’s job!
