Excerpt From Creation Cries Out! Rav Sha'ul Vampires: Fact or Fiction? by Rav Sha'ul    The legend of vampires has been passed down through many cultures as well. Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures, regardless of whether the vampires are undead or a living person/being.  Vampires are said to have super-human strength, are nocturnal, and have an eternal seeking nature. We all know the stories and how fascinated our society has become with them.  But like “giants” who are the result of a union between fallen angels and women, can we find a Biblical “source” to explain the legend of the Vampire?  Actually, yes there is.  It is the exact same source…  The Nephilim!  These giant half breeds that began to dominate the Earth eventually started eating humans, drinking their blood.  These gaint man eaters where in fact was the main reason YHVH destroyed the Earth in the days of Noah.  YHVH had to rid the Earth of these offspring of angels and women.  The Book of Enoch, the oldest human record tells us of these beings.  These “giants” had super-human qualities and descended from eternal beings (angels).  To understand the evolution of the vampire myth, we need look no further than the Hebrew lore of a creature named “Lilith”.  The Lilith myths date back as far as 2,500 BC.  We see Lilith mentioned by name in earlier manuscripts of Isaiah that later translated “Lilith” as “night creature” or vampire: Isaiah 34:14 Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures (or vampires originally written as Lilith) will also repose and find for themselves places of rest. However, the Hebrew word translated as “night creature” is לילית or “Lilith”.  The Jews’ oral tradition calls a she demon by this name “Lilith”. The oral tradition says she has a human face, has wings, and destroys children as soon as they are born.   Mankind has recorded this “Lilith” for many centuries.  Her features are what we would expect from a union between angels and humans… and it is “Lilith” that actually caused the fall of humanity in The Garden of Eden.  Below left Lilith is depicted with wings clawed feet surrounded by owls that represent “dark knowledge”.  To the right she is depicted as a serpent with a female body and wings wrapped around a “tree” as Eve takes a bite of the apple. Lilith embodies the very idea of a half-breed creature part human part angel leading mankind astray with “knowledge”.  Many translations of the Bible are now corrected and read as follows in The New Revised Standard version of The Bible: Isaiah 34:14 Wildcats shall meet with hyenas, goat-demons shall call to each other; there too Lilith shall repose, and find a place to rest. While Isaiah is the only direct mention of Lilith in The Bible, she is made mention of multiple times in the Jewish Talmud.  For example: in the 13th Century writings of Rabbi Isaac ben Jacob ha-Cohen Lilith left Adam after she refused to become subservient to him and then would not return to the Garden of Eden after she mated with archangel Samael.  Lilith is also mentioned in The Dead Sea Scrolls which contains one indisputable reference to Lilith in Songs of the Sage (4Q510-511)[43] fragment 1: And I, the Instructor, proclaim His glorious splendour so as to frighten and to te[rrify] all the spirits of the destroying angels, spirits of the bastards, demons, Lilith, howlers, and [desert dwellers…] and those which fall upon men without warning to lead them astray from a spirit of understanding and to make their heart and their […] desolate during the present dominion of wickedness and predetermined time of humiliations for the sons of lig[ht], by the guilt of the ages of [those] smitten by iniquity – not for eternal destruction, [bu]t for an era of humiliation for transgression. Once we again restore Lilith from the realm of “myth” we find she is mentioned not by name but in reference in Proverbs 2, 5, 7, 9: Proverbs 2:18–19 Her house sinks down to death, And her (Lilith) course leads to the shades.  All who go to her cannot return. And find again the paths of life (because she cost humanity eternal life by misleading Adam and Eve). For more on Lilith reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith Again, Lilith embodies the reality of angels having sexual union with women.  Their offspring having attributes of “angels” and “women” and were blood drinking nocturnal creatures damned by the Living God. All of this is explained in detail in The Book of Enoch.  It is these attributes embodied by Lilith that are the foundation of the vampire myth and legends of today.  Many of the ancient vampires had “angelic wings” and were females (the wings later became a long cape extended behind the body “like wings” when grasped by the arms and lifted up). When put into context of The Book of Enoch the images of ancient vampires connected with “dark knowledge” and eternal life begin to come into focus.  The “myths” do have an origin after all and can be traced right back to The Nephilim.  The Book of Enoch gives us that origin.  Enoch explained the fall of the angelic realm and humanity in context of sexual union between angels and women.  Then Enoch describes the future disclosure of “knowledge” from angels to their offspring.  That “offspring” was a race of half-breed nocturnal blood drinking eternal seeking beings.   The Book of Enoch – an eye witness to our origins We see in the Book of Enoch as he clearly described the horrible conditions on Earth under the rule of the Anakin or Nephilim, conditions that eventually required a flood to remedy.  We see below the “blood drinking” nature of these half breeds: Chapter 7 13 When they (the Nephilim or giants) turned themselves against men, in order to devour them; 14 And began to injure birds, beasts, reptiles, and fishes, to eat their flesh one after another, and to drink their blood. We see below they were seeking “length of days” or eternal life like their fathers (angels) but were denied that lineage by YHVH and their lifespan was limited to 500 years (about half that of their human counterparts at that time who lived nearly 1,000 years): Chapter 10 10 (excerpted) for length of days shall they (the Nephilim) not have. And no request that they (i.e. their angelic fathers) make of thee shall be granted unto their fathers on their behalf; for they (the Nephilim) hope to live an eternal life (like their angelic fathers), and 11 that each one of them will live five hundred years..... Chapter 15 3 for you: Wherefore have ye left the high, holy, and eternal heaven, and lain with women, and defiled yourselves with the daughters of men and taken to yourselves wives, and done like the children 4 of earth, and begotten giants (as your) sons? And though ye were holy, spiritual, living the eternal life, you have defiled yourselves with the blood of women, and have begotten (children) with the blood of flesh, and, as the children of men, have lusted after flesh and blood as those also do who die 5 and perish. 11 And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless 12 hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.
