Excerpt from The Kingdom Rav Sha'ul   What does “the way of the Gentiles” mean? by Rav Sha'ul                    Christianity teaches us, well it really doesn’t teach us anything about the meaning of Matthew 10 because it directly contradicts Christianity’s Pauline Doctrine that The New Covenant is now open to all pagan Gentiles outside of the bloodline of Abraham/Isaac/Jacob.  Yahusha didn’t seem to agree, he agreed with The Abrahamic Covenant which was and is still in effect. What Yahusha was saying is do not go to Gentiles who outwardly display pagan ways.  Rather do as YHVH commanded and take the Gospel to those who by their very nature KEEP HIS LAW as YHVH had promised He would “write The Law on the hearts” of The House of Israel and they would respond to the message “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand”.  The Apostle Paul understood this as we will see. Was Yahusha saying “do not go the physical direction of the Gentiles?”  Or, was Yahusha being consistent when he used the expression “the way” meaning the religious example displayed by pagan Gentiles.  Yahusha used the term “The Way” to describe the religious example he set that we are to follow: John 14:6 Yahusha said to him, "I am (my example is) the way, and (my example is) the truth (the true way), and (my example is) the life (it leads to eternal life); no one comes to the Father but through Me (the example I set). This is confirmed in 1 John my comments in blue to clarify in context, I correct all the passive voice and personal pronouns used to confuse the topic at hand: 1 John 2 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him (YHVH), if we keep His commandments (Yahusha has no commandments see verse 7 below). 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him (YHVH),” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His word (The Torah, the NT did not exist for another 300 years), in him the love of YHVH has truly been perfected (Psalm 19:7 “The Law of YHVH is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of YHVH is sure, making wise the simple”). By this we know that we are in (covenant with) Yahusha: 6 the one who says he abides (in covenant with) Yahusha ought himself to walk in the same manner as Yahusha walked (follow The Way set by the example of Yahusha’s life by keeping YHVH’s Commandments). 7 Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning; the old commandment is the word which you have heard (the old commands which is THE WORD OF YHVH or THE TORAH). 8 On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you (ok… here is the only “new command”, he restates verses 5-6 above to follow Yahusha’s example in keeping The Law as the only new command) Which (keeping The Law) is true in Yahusha and in you (as you do as he did), because the darkness (of Law without Grace) is passing away and the true Light (of Law with Grace) is already shining … I have written to you, fathers, because you know YHVH who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of YHVH (The Torah) abides in you (The Law is written in your hearts), and you have overcome the evil one. We know The House of Israel was scattered among the pagan Gentile nations and Yahusha was well aware of that fact.  So we can immediately dismiss the idea that Yahusha was saying “don’t go to the Gentile nations”.  So how are we to understand Yahusha’s statement “Do not go in the way of the Gentiles” in context of commanding us to “go to the lost sheep of The House of Israel” who were scattered among the Gentile nations? “The way of the gentiles” is a term used often in The Bible and in every case it speaking of the religious practices of the pagan Gentiles it is not referring to a physical path or destination.  Below we see the same phrase “the way of the Gentiles” referring to the religious practices or those who display the religious practices of pagans: Jeremiah 10:2 New International Version This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. NET Bible The LORD says, "Do not start following pagan religious practices. Do not be in awe of signs that occur in the sky even though the nations hold them in awe. GOD'S WORD® Translation This is what the LORD says: Don't learn the practices of the nations. Don't be frightened by the signs in the sky because the nations are frightened by them. Jubilee Bible 2000 Thus hath the LORD said, Do not learn the way of the Gentiles, and do not fear the signs of heaven, even though the Gentiles fear them. So, “the way of the Gentiles” means those who display “the pagan practices of the Gentiles”.  Below is how Matthew 10; The Great Commission should read with the intent and in context of the revealed plan of YHVH: Matthew 10 5 These twelve Yahusha sent out after instructing them: “Do not go to those who practice pagan religions, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans; 6 but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel scattered among the Gentiles.  Those who display The Way of YHVH by keeping His Law instinctively; because YHVH has written The Law on their hearts. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ And those whom YHVH has chosen will respond.
